What part of the show changes based off of voting in the app? I've only seen the show once and it seems like all the emotions already are in the show so what exactly changes based off of the voting for a character to make a special appearance?

DCA parkgoers will be able vote for the Inside Out character they would like to see play a more prominent role each night during “World of Color Happiness.” Fans will be able to vote using the Disneyland app for one of four characters: Sadness, Anger, Disgust or Envy.
So yes it's the same 4 options each night

Yeah so I don’t get how the most popular character wouldn’t win every night. Unless you have a large group of annual pass holders coordinating. I guess maybe they picked 4 characters they feel are of = popularity.

I've never seen the movies and when I Googled the most popular character I got a variety of answers. Who is it you believe is the most popular character that would win every night?

To be honest I dunno. I would guess Sadness or Anger since they’ve been in both movies.

Only Envy is from the second film, the other 3 are in both.

That’s right. My mind replaced Disgust with another newer character. I’d definitely say Sadness or Anger are the most popular though.

The ending after the post show is recited by different emotions - that’s not really a major change but there is that. Haha.
This show had so much potential- the opening and finale “rainbow connection” has all the feels and is absolutely beautiful. But everything else is just modern IP shoved in. Hosted by Inside Out and featuring Turning Red and Wish…. For the 70th anniversary!?!?
With rainbow connection and muppets pre-show - I’m betting it was pitched to have the muppets host the show since they are also 70 years old…. That would have been lovely.
