I looked up Brook Lopez. Would you believe his nickname is "Splash Mountain"? And he's sitting next to Tony Baxter!View attachment 860041
Dusty Sage, Tony Baxter, and NBA star Brook Lopez in the same elevator??!
Don't judge times by today. Park had a a more restricted cap. Much of the fanatic audience is there to buy merch and crowd patterns wild.
Friday thru Sunday will give a better idea gojng forward of what we are in for and weeks after that even more.
Gave up on Ministry. Too much to do elsewhere.
Except, previews being previews not everything is necessarily working. Just taking the preview I went to on 5/13 (I'm not going today) as an example:Also fair to consider that the "die hard" fans have already gone through much of the previews which will help keep lines pretty reasonable. I'd venture to guess that a huge portion of the guests at the park today already went during the previews and are mostly there for the bragging rights of being there opening day (along with the exclusive opening day events/entertainment and merch).
It's opening on a Thursday. I suspect this coming weekend being Memorial Day weekend will see far more visitors.11:22 AM US Eastern
I am watching RixFlix live stream.
The walkways are EMPTY!
I guess everyone are waiting in queues?

While we’re on the subject of graphic design, why do you suppose they went with a park logo that’s so underwhelming? For anyone keeping track, we are now seeing people critique the art of a poster merchandise item as if it is an atrocious blight on theme parks.

So, if you didn't experience these things you might be inclined to return on opening day. I got a good feel for it and have plans to come back next March.
- Curse of the Werewolf -- Closed
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry -- Closed
- Fyre Drill -- Intermittent. Down for a good portion of the day
- Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge - "Delayed" (i.e. it was basically closed)
- The Untrainable Dragon -- Toothless "was on an adventure" (i.e. The portion of Hiccup riding Toothless overhead did not occur while the background effects were still running. Felt odd). Also at the final reveal of the "untrainable" dragon, they had to reset. It didn't work. It was like a "Take 2".
They've declared a cease fire. The Battle at the Ministry has been marked as delayed for 3 hours now.
It’s memorable without overshadowing the park’s IPs, versatile across a variety of media, and it scales cleanly across formats. Sounds like the logo is doing exactly what it’s meant to.While we’re on the subject of graphic design, why do you suppose they went with a park logo that’s so underwhelming?
