That’s my boy….
😊

Tony is a huge Universal fan.
He has a lot of friends there….and really enjoys visiting the newer themed areas.

Had a feeling he would make sure to be there for the official Grand Opening.

✨

A friend of a friend of a friend of a friend says he has a ticket for tomorrow as well.

I guess we each have our own opinion. I personally feel like it would be a great welcome show at the start of each day. What about it is cringe?

The spiel the woman gives which is written in a way that is trying very hard to give deeper meaning to this, the characters awkwardly coming out and standing there, sometimes delivering their own script that was clearly thrown together (Victoria just recites the pre-show, for example)... all of it. Also the whole "Celestians" thing which Universal spun up for Celestial Park but really isn't portrayed anywhere. It's giving vibes of the "Waturi" people of Volcano Bay, something they emphasized heavily in promotions and previews but you hardly ever hear referenced anymore.

It also isn't practical to do this as people will likely not be "rope dropping" Berk, for example.

Which is why I say an audio cue, land-specific score, maybe a pre-recorded spiel, and the effect of the portal being activated would be cool and sufficient for a daily thing.

I guess we will just have to disagree on this one... of course it's a little corny, but that is the current story of the park with the Celestains.

You don't think people will rope drop Berk? People rope drop the teacups...

I guess. At the very least, they would need some tweaks. What they did for these is very obviously designed for media to get their "money shots".

Within TWDC, there's loads of Universal fans at all levels of the company, and vice-versa.
Yeah pretty sure the "company wars" between Uni and Disney is literally just the fans and the actual employees reasonably don't care at all. In fact, Universal doing better helps them as it gets the higher ups to give them a little more budget/wiggleroom to respond. Neither of these BILLION dollar companies are actually at risk of anything closing
