I will speak as an international visitor. I visited HoP only one time in 2007 and have never had a desire to go back. I thought it was dull. I chalked it up to not being American and not being moved by the overly patriotic tone. But if Americans like it, I obviously have no issue with it being there. I just don't plan to go back to it. And I actually do follow and enjoy American politics.
Imagine if it were replaced by "Hall of Secretaries-General of the United Nations"...

It's not the subject matter. It's the way that it is presented. I just don't find it all the interesting.
Oh people are for sure bored by any of the AA shows. I think they are often the definition of “Walt Disney attractions” - Carousel probably being the ultimate.

I’m not particularly patriotic - but I have always teared up when watching Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, and Moments with Lincoln.

Well, considering that the attraction was originally intended primarily to highlight Walt's audioanimatronic technology, the "subject matter" really doesn't, in the end, matter. It could just as easily been scripted about Kings of Europe or Great Opera Singers of the World.

I am not at all bored by AA shows. CoP is one of my favourite attractions of all time. I love the more classic attractions. I just don't enjoy HoP. It's probably not meant for me.

My point is that I don't dislike the attraction because it is about presidents. I find it dull in its presentation.

I don’t think the numbers are particularly low for hall of presidents are they?

Certainly higher than Pixar film fest right?
Disney doesn't release numbers so we have no way to know for sure, but given its location in the park and being in MK vs Epcot, its safe to say more people attend HoP than Pixar Film Fest.

I think the best argument for replacing HoP lies in the very bitter partisan environment we have, and that its probably not getting better any time soon. Personally, I love the attraction, but I won't visit it because I don't want to hear cheers, boos, or heckling, and I might not be able to control my response.

The theater holds 700 guests and the show runs for 23 minutes. Assuming they could get everyone out and the next group in within 7 minutes it could handle 1400 guests per hour. That gives us the theoretical high end at least.

Personally, I have never seen the theater more than half full and often closer to a third, so based on my own 100% anecdotal evidence that could be entirely wrong, my guess would be in the 600-700/hr range on the high end. Assuming it ran all day at that level (though I seem to remember it opening a bit later and closing earlier at times) that would put it at 7,200-8,400 people a day.

Hopefully someone with some real data will come along and chime in.
