Going to be there June 5th, last time when I stayed in Nov. I got room that wasn't refurbished, so really looking forward to seeing them!

The pool bar looks great. The rooms, once again, are meh.
For me, I would rate them higher then "meh". B- I miss the pirates of the Caribbean (attraction) art work but overall I do think these look better. Better but not amazing.

Rooms look decent. Thankfully. I could very much do without the IP injection, even though it's limited to portraits on the wall. But then again, how else would I know that I was in the Bayou if I didn't have Tiana and Louis as a reminder? #ThanksBeToBob #ThanksBeToJosh #TheyKnowWhatGuestsWant

I hate the IP on the walls. There are too many patterns and colors that don't even coordinate. 🤷‍♀️ Much like all the other refurbs, it seems those who re-design them have never stayed in a hotel room.

It beats generic white. Slightly disagree on those who design them have never stayed in a hotel room. I do think the functionality is stronger. Better storage and overall better use of space. Luggage can fit under the beds. More room in the vanity area. Closets better designed to hold the stuff. The look does clash I agree with you there but that could also be 'mardi gras' so I give it a pass. The IP seems limited.

I'm not an IP hater. In fact my favorite rooms on property are actually the princess Tiana rooms over at the Riverside section. I think those are awesome. But they're way more than just a few pictures on the wall. The carpet has the Magic carpet woven into it. The faucets have the genie lamp represented. Even one of the stools looks a bit like the puppy/ ottoman from beauty and the beast. It's how you use the IP. I don't mind Disney using their own intellectual property. They created it they have every right to use it and in some cases an expectation. When used properly it definitely adds. I think they hit the right Mark for the Princess Tiana rooms at Riverside, complete with fiber optic fireworks in the headboards.

By comparison the French quarter rooms are..... Not as nice.

When you talk about IP and Resorts and changes I’m always brought back to the very early years of Caribbean Beach. It was meant to feel that you were in the real Caribbean, not Disney’s version of the Caribbean. We stayed here every single Easter from opening year till 2000. I was a kid/teen and I felt the difference.

The turning point for the worse was when they added Little Mermaid characters to the pool area signage and restaurants. Don’t ask me how I knew it, but it cheapened the experience and made it feel less than. Disney was incredible before IP explosion. Look at the early year merch from Caribbean- parrots, macaws, steel drummers, pirates, etc not a character to be seen.
