Garden Grove - Weird Experience

We had never been to GG before, so decided to give it a try recently (we were staying at Swan Reserve). Only one party ahead of us at check-in so we were glad that it didn't seem too busy. Got seated promptly, checked out the menu, decided what we wanted, then waited. And waited. After close to 15 minutes, a visibly harried waitress came by with water and without even a greeting just said she was "extremely busy so this could be awhile." After waiting another 10 minutes with no sign of her, we just got up and left. Ended up just getting a breakfast sandwich from Java, the Swan's grab and go coffee shop.
The restuarant was maybe only a third full, so perhaps it's still a staffing issue? It was just such an odd experience, as we've found the service at all the other Swan and Dolphin restaurants really great, some even exceptional. And with Picabu now closed, GG is really the only casual sit-down place for breakfast in the Swan/Dolphin/Reserve complex. Anyone else experience this?

We used to stay at the Swalphin a lot. But, between the resort/parking fees and stories like this, it makes me want to book the Swalphin less and less. Why book there when I can stay at a Disney resort sometimes cheaper and nicer?

We tried breakfast there once the regular not character when staying at YC years ago and it was awful. There were hardly any items on the buffet and the food was not great.

It honestly has gone downhill since Marriott took over from Starwood.

We’re Platinum with Marriott and it’s not up to the standards we’re used to elsewhere. It’s also insulting to have points and free nights we could use, but still have to spend nearly $100 for the resort fee and parking. Thanks, but no thanks.
I switched everything over to Hilton once Starwood was bought out and we stay at the Waldorf/Signia in the Bonnet Creek area. The level of service there is outstanding and everyone always remembers our names and welcomes us back.
