Help with resort choice please

Depends on which park/parks you plan on spending the most time. If Epcot and Hollywood Studios are your priority, then Beach Club would be my choice. If it is Magic Kingdom, then either Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary. Of those two, Wilderness Lodge would be our choice.

Three women on a vacation I would go with Beach club. I love wilderness Lodge but I think Beach club will be more fun with some friends because you can get to Epcot so easily and you have the boardwalk

My vote is for WL. It is truly lovely. The boat ride to Magic Kingdom and Boardwalk is really relaxing.

Wilderness Lodge and it'a not close. (I will admit that's my answer to virtually all lodging questions. Far and away my favorite Disney hotel.)

Having been in (Old b4 BLT) North Garden Wing, South Garden Wing , and Tower (MK View), it depends on a number of factors. These include which park you will visit most, the likelyhood of walking to the park(s), the costs, and what you really need the room to accomplish (ie sleep only, hold stuff, actual destination, etc.) We found South Garden Wing room at CR (even on 2nd floor) to be fine. We also maximized use of BC room for EPCOT and HS. Hard to go wrong with any of them.
It's great in winter, but my mind can't wrap itself around the 90-degree days and Great Northwest theming.
For my money, in the warmer seasons, Yacht/Beach Club is the swizzle.*
* Not "schnizzle." Swizzle, for the swizzle sticks in your drinks!

Both are great. Again a lot of this has to do with the people going and what they are looking for. Do they want MK and heavy themeing? WL
Do they want nice dinners and maybe some drinks and a killer pool? Beach Club

What are the ages of the kids? If on the younger side, I'd choose BC or CR b/c WL requires additional treking around, and in that heat, you may want mid-day pool or resort breaks (adults do too!). Also, Stormalong Bay at BC will be reopened.
It's a higher cost, but I prefer the tower at CR to the wing if kids are small (more magical and closer to everything including MK) - but it's not a deal breaker. In the end, all 3 are great options - but I'd choose BC or CR depending on park preferences, unless you all really love that woodsy outdoors national park theming and don't mind a less convienient location to get it.

I never considered WL to be out of the way.
For 3 adult women I wouldn’t do WL unless you want to share a bed. There would only be 2 queens, no couch/bed. CR will have the largest room. We just stayed in the garden wing and enjoyed it. There are 2 queen beds and a single bed that converts from the couch. BC also has some rooms with 2 queens and a couch, but not all.
If you plan to spend most of your time at EP, then I’d do BC. If you want to spend most of your time at other parks, I’d do CR. I like the monorail resorts for food and drinks when not in the parks.

Quite honestly we are more privy to the Beach Club because of their most wonderful and so fabulous Stormalong Bay Pool. Also because the resort can be a fairly short walk to Epcot or HS. Or short boat ride to the resorts. Or, furthermore, a short bus ride to the MK. The fireworks are wonderful to see from the resort as well. WL is very also beautiful in my opinion. We stayed there in March. However, I'm more of a pool person so I tend to gravitate more towards BC. Also, Cape May is such a wonderful seafood buffet in the resort. It is also a great pick for a fun character breakfast. Ale and Compass is yet another very delicious restaurant for steaks along with their oh so scrumptious Parker House rolls that they serve. It is also so very delcious for breakfast. And, lastly, it can be oh so nice and so yummy to have a wonderful hot fudge sundae from Beaches and Cream while overlooking the magnificient pool! Happy travels to Disney!
