Disney also has some rather unique deals... those Disney+ deals for July are pretty deep. And 2026 bookings for domestic US have free dining promos for kids if the adults get one. I can't remember a time when Disney had promotions for a year in advance that far out.

UK Disney deals are good as well.

They always do summer discounts?
Indeed, except for holiday weeks, there is a seasonal discount offered every season.

And the discounts often run out. If you're not grabbing a Fall discount when they come out in March, then, by May, they're all gone.

For those who plan more than 8 months in advance, there's almost always a discount.

So, you're implying that TWDC is on fire and will crumble to dust?

I don't know, because you seem to refuse to use adult words.

What, in the Quarterly report indicates that TWDC is heading toward financial ruin?

Can you point to a stat, you know.... facts?
@MisterPenguin , I used a winky emoji, that means it was a joke... ;) Got Ya!

What are my real feelings? I AM BACK to my old saying. TWDC and its theme parks are............. Invincible. (No winky here.)

And yes, I can think they are Invincible and at the same time dislike what they are doing to my beloved WDW.

Wait, why are we surprised that Q2, which occurred before the bad stuff started coming on a daily basis, in a strong economy was strong? My timeline for the badness is 9-12 months, so end of 2025. Which is also why, we are personally spending so much on travel *this year* because it seems like going forward it's gonna be less predictable. We're staying on property at both the DLR and WDW (and Hawaii, and two Universal Orlando on property stays) which is something that has happened, never, because you gotta make hay when the sun shines.

That and/or more folks are going but skipping the table service dinning.

I think that is a big aspect - people are changing how they are doing Disney and reducing # of Table Service is an easy way to cut spending in one area but reallocate to others (LLMP, etc) without upping your total spend being the regular pricing increases

As for hotel stays, with some of the discounts you can stay on site for not much more than off property now. We just did a quick trip and cheapest reasonable hotel I could find off property was $91/night. The All Stars were $124 (and some dates even cheaper) and they felt pretty crowded (much more so than the restaurants)

There are more options right now for F&B than at any other time in WDW's history. Larger festivals, every dining venue at Disney Springs is occupied and busy(STK just added a covered area on the top floor!), QSR quality has gone up A LOT while still remaining economical, two new lounges/bars are getting ready to open, and longer park hours are coming soon at MK.

Are we shocked that the increased capacity has meant more reservations available? I don't think that's a good metric to by because of how fluid it is

It can be depending on the restaurant. If you’re trying to get Olivia’s Café at old Key West, which has amazing chicken, you can probably get that same day.

The better measure is the availability of the harder restaurants that often are booked up 60 days in advance. Like Toppolinos, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Space 220(for whatever reason still popular).

As long as those are still fully booked or booked 98%, it means the parks are operating on a healthy capacity. If you start to see those restaurants consistently open up with specific time slots available, that means the parks are slow or things in general are slowing down.

Sorry these calls now happen while I am still asleep, catch me up...

Disney had another decent quarter, and the theme parks are up, with a good outlook ahead?

Meanwhile Comcast announced their theme parks were down the last few quarters? So people are still going to Disney, and just avoiding Universal until Epic opens? When will Disney feel the crushing defeat by Universal many on here suggested would take place?

This post is accurate except for the "crushing defeat". I may have missed the posts, I did not see anything about "crushing defeat".

WDW and Universal could not even crush SeaWorld.

EPIC will not crush WDW, MK (may) lose the top spot for attendance, replaced by DLR or maybe Universal Japan

But if Disney continues to offer deals at WDW, MK may retain the top spot.

You missed where they must be lying because there’s availability at the TS restaurants.
