Looks like the tiles and everything have been reinstalled, and the pool replastered. Sand has been added to most of the main pool, and it seems they are getting ready to add water soon.

Very cool to see how fast this has been moving along!

Guys, Disney isn't reading this thread and giving you discounts for booking Yacht and Beach. It's okay to admit this is taking too long. Like everything they do.

Considering this is something that basically just started in Jan/Feb... this is not really long at all for such a major pool rebuild. If they were taking 6months to just replaster a pool.. you'd have a point to raise. But that's not what this job was.
This is a 35 yr old pool that is having major rebuild work done.. including curbing, decking, and more. It's also always been advertised as a significant closure. There is nothing to 'admit' here except some people are unrealistic.

In a new statement, Disney says exterior work at the Beach Club will begin starting early June and is expected to last through September 2025.

Here's the announcement:

Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be undergoing routine exterior maintenance from early June through September 2025. During this time, the porte cocheres will be closed. While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available, and most Resort amenities will continue to be offered.

Disney has also added a new statement for the Yacht Club:

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be undergoing routine exterior maintenance from early July through October 2025. During this time, the porte cocheres will be closed. While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available, and most Resort amenities will continue to be offered.

So they give us plenty of notice for the pool closure only to spring this on us last minute.

Chances of this work having any impact on your vacation is negligible.
Mainly concerned about the noise and if any work is being done right outside the rooms, similar to what we saw with Yacht Club. If it's not directly outside our room then I agree we should be fine. A June-September timeline suggests extensive exterior work so I don't think we'll know for sure about the level of impact.

Hummmm does not indicated extensive, just means during those time frame some section/ chunk of the exterior will be being worked on.

So fingers crossed for but also I think there will be better than not chance that you will be within that small chunk that's being done.

If you are just keep in mind the alternative is to have denied you a reservation and I've just kept the room closed and unused.

A major pool that everyone goes to is a lot different than the exterior
That's true but I'd rather know about any construction to consider switching resorts far enough out that inventory is still high. Yeah, a closed port cochere and scaffolding doesn't ruin a trip but for the money paid it's reasonable to prefer avoiding it. In this case, I would have considered booking Boardwalk and saving Beach Club for a future trip.

Agree this was not the news I was expecting 1 month out from our trip. And very surprised about the short notice.
