"Later this summer, get ready for a star-kissed constellation of Disney wishes as "Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away" comes to life with beloved characters from “Encanto,” “Frozen,” “Coco” and more. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for more details."
I know HEA looks better in July but Sigh.

So, the same bs they've been feeding the public for months. Why even bother posting if they are just going to post the same info over and over?

Who Knows!
I'm thinking TDO figures Starlight deserves its Own Article with New Looks and the Date Reveal, I thought we were closer to that with HEA at 10pm July 6th Onward bout not yet.

I would say they are waiting for the right timing to release more information but they also could be running behind schedule. Hearing that rehearsals are happening makes us think they are ahead of schedule and maybe plan on sitting on the parade until July for whatever reason, but there’s also the possibility there’s still a lot more work to be done with the floats, costumes, parade route.

What exactly did Disney promise that's not going to materialize?

Provide a citation.
Im referring to their recent history regarding cancelled and toned down attractions…. If you really need a list then you are just being naive and you are really debating this then you are just looking fot an argument. One you probably cant win

I can’t recall anything unusual not caused by the pandemic. Anything else was typical budgetary constraints that you see from every themed entertainment company.

I don’t think anyone is being naive I think you’re being hyperbolic.

Outside of Covid related changes there isn’t really a “recent history” of “cancelled and toned down attractions”

Every cm must be dedicated to keeping things under wraps. I’m sure they all got a big lecture lol. Of course not only is their job on the line but also the opportunity to be in this parade and I’m willing to bet it means a lot to all the cast to be in the first nighttime parade in so many years.
CMs talk amongst themselves all the bloody time. Far less often they happen to be explicit on social media about it. I bet you Disney is watching the social media of anyone who may have access to parade info (from GFT up to management), not just the performers themselves... No leaks may be something they're prioritizing until CM/press previews.
