Yes I aware, but age and death are the great equalizers. Just because the man works out x number of hours everyday doesn’t mean his body or mind will last forever. He could drop dead tomorrow for all the good that the exercise does him. The point is at 73 his number of years left on the planet is small and he knows it.
Exercise improves your well being and improves your bloodwork numbers.

You're correct it does never claimed it doesn't, but it doesn't cure death. As mentioned athletes in the peak of health drop dead at 35.

But still none of that has anything to do with Iger remaining in the position forever. The man could work out 6 hours a day, it still doesn't mean he will live forever or for that matter doesn't mean he wants to really stay in the position past 2026.

No one claimed he won't live forever but what he's doing in life in terms of diet and exercise is improving his.

And none of that has anything to do with whether the man stays as CEO past 2026. The man could live until 2055 when he is 104, still doesn't mean he'll be CEO past 2026.

Well it's now May 2025 and we have not heard of a successor yet. Starting to believe me by now? If nothing by early next year, we will be facing another contract extension, lol.

You're off by a year...

2026

Early 2026
  • New CEO named to replace Bob Iger.

Dec 2026
  • Dec 31 = Bob Iger steps down as CEO

That's the timeline given and in place for over a year. There was never a plan to make a public statement about this in 2025.

Sigh...OK, fine, I guess we have to give them another year before we really start squawking. I really don't think it's a good idea for Disney to wait that long, though. And not like the candidates would change much between now and then, either.

Until I read this I had completely forgotten they had already extended his contract a few more years, I still wonder if he regrets coming back?

When he left in early 2020 Disney was a few years into some bad decisions but I think most Disney fans still viewed him as an amazing CEO, myself included, I think over the last several years his legacy has been seriously tarnished and a lot of those former fans now view his time as CEO as negative overall, myself included.

Had he left in 2016 he’d probably be viewed on the same positive level as Walt.
