If Tokyo is removing Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Room, anything is possible. It could become Disney Wishland since someone in the company clearly loves the property.
Is there a sub-forum for Tokyo in wdwmagic? We are wanting to go there in a few years... would love to follow some forums about it.

I mean IF this happens, when would they even announce “oh yeah HOP is never coming back”? That’s like an instant mega backlash?
Pull a Stitch -

1. Switch it to seasonal operation
2. Close it "temporarily"
3. Keep that sucker down forever.
3a. Gut the show and tell nobody
3b. Wait until someone sneaks in and leaks photos of the demolition

eh, Walt had a similar idea with Liberty Street for DL. That dates back to 1956. He loved American history...it is a product of that.

Sure, but doesn't mean it fits in a Castle Park built in 2025

And even less so when you have Epcot down the street that is full of representations of real world locals - leave the Castle Park to be more fantastical and an escape from the real world

They could actually create a whole side experience in the America Pavilion for it...but not a theater setting but more like an exhibition... Every hour they could open the curtains and do the presidential roll call... no speaches... just some patriotic orchestral back score after the roll call giving time to see them...then curtain drop... fill the exhibit with the drawings and paintings from the creation of the show, have a small step-in video corner running clips of the show in it's original format...get some things from the Smithsonion on-loan to fill it out... Seems like they could even recreate a colonial village street on the right hand side of the pavilion which would terminate in the Presidential exhibit entrance if they could relocate the restrooms... It would be nice if the Pavilion celebrating the USA had a little more to offer...and at least it would not be lost... like so many other things....

I've always liked HoP, and still go when I'm there by myself, but I won't take my kids there. Why? Because every time I've been in the last decade and a half, there has been some buffoon booing, or heckling when the current president (whoever that is and from whatever party) speaks or even stands up. People can't just leave well enough alone in a theme park. And sadly, I think, that means HoP has to go.

Yep.

We stopped going in there because of it.

Take note of who it is and then "accidentally" ankle check them with the stroller or wop them upside the head with a backpack. Oops, my bad.

Doesn't resolve anything but at least you leave the theater happy.

HoP is a skip for us whereas American Adventure is a must do. Different vibes. I think had HoP been in a different park perhaps it'd be frequented more often but Time is Money in Magic Kingdom. When trying to maximize fun and plan the day... the HoP attraction cedes to other priorities. Easily skippable. Doesn't help that it's rather boring.

I actually hope it opens back up and they leave it alone for now.

If down the road they want replace with a different show that’s fine but no more MK closures unless to expand or refurbish the park.

But if you go to your downtown theater, comedy club, whatnot, and there's a heckler in the audience, security tosses them, and lets the show go on for the quiet majority who appreciates it.

If this commonsense practice works for live performers, it can work for animatronics/robots as well.

Yes, that’s what Disney will choose.

Simple: Just move two more old cranks into the theater:
performance_muppets.jpg

"What's this show about again?"
"Buncha old geezers who drone on and on"
"What, did they put a mirror in front of our box?!"
"Nyeh-hehehehe!!!"
