That's a terrible video of the HP ride, so I'm not going to draw too many conclusions from it.

It does look disappointing, though (especially compared to the fantastic queue), because it looks like it's mainly screens. I've never been on a truly great ride that relied heavily on screens for theme/setting; they're just not immersive.

I know a lot of people love the Transformers ride, e.g., and I thought it was boring and completely skippable (I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to ride it again) -- that video (as bad as it is) makes it look very similar to Transformers. I've read it has a number of AAs, though, so hopefully it just looked like a bunch of screens because of the video's poor quality.

At some point there will be better video available and then it'll be easier to see what exactly it offers.

Its like Spiderman meets RoTR's drop simulator except its on a scissor lift doohickey that follows a track.

I agree but I still need to experience it personally. From a non-bias perspective since I'm not into both of these IPs at all, I prefer Monsters where the AAs are the main focus and the screens are just background as compared to Ministry where you're moving from one screen to another.

Within the constraints of seeing this in video form and not in person, Ministry looks to be on the higher tier of good, but not quite great. It's not as impressive as it was hyped up to be. I appreciate that it has the most actual animatronics of any Potter ride to date, and that elevates it (pun intended) to some significant degree higher than I would have placed it otherwise. But it's still less than I had hoped and a lot more screen heavy than I would like. Forbidden Journey is still the best Potter ride overall IMO despite now being technically less impressive in comparison, but it still has a charm and I daresay "magic" to it that I can't quite describe in words and also hasn't been matched by any of the other Potter attractions built after it.

I'd place Ministry a bit above Gringotts (which I also still like). I will however give props to the recreation of Paris they did for the land, as well as the queue for the ride. They once again passed with flying colors, it's stunning.

I'd say Ministry is the second best ride at Epic. Monsters Unchained however is THE best ride at the park, and it's not even all that close IMO.

And Swan and Dolphin would not have been there, except for Eisner's goof of giving that hotel company a contract for the WDW hotels, and then had to give them that location for a long term lease in order to get out of said contract and build Disney owned hotels instead.

Agreed overall. I was expecting far more animatronics and less screens based on what people were saying. I think it’s about 10 animatronics which isn’t really that special to me but then again I suppose Universal doesn’t typically use tons of animatronics much in general so it’s newer for them. Was just expecting more from something some people touted as the top experience here.

Is Ministry paced well? I’m sure it’s chaotic, as most of their rides are. Does it stop breathe and take in the scenery ever?

Or does it suffer from the park and bark that Gringotts does?

Is it redundant or complimentary to Gringotts / Forbidden Journey?
