It seems that instead of just reimagining a space, management at WDW prefers to just eliminate it and start over. Dinoland/Dinorama could have been improved and reimagined, since Dinosaurs are an eternally popular theme. But no, throw it in the trash and start over. Same with Tom Sawyer Island. They could retheme and modernize it and put a great waterside dining area, but no, it has to go, so that we can sell more LLs. It's just sad. It is also sad to be a Disney fan and have no confidence in the future of the parks if they keep going in this direction.

no resort should be run “better”then any other. Ideally they would all be run with the same amount of care for the guest as Tokyo. (Obviously that would manifest itself in different ways to cater to different expectations but still)

Disney is not going to do dinosaurs and that makes sense. They are going up against a company that has essentially gotten countless people into dinosaurs. You don’t win with that especially when they have one of the best coasters in the world.

I wouldn’t expect Universal to build a ride themed to a princess fairytale either. They essentially give up a little where they’re weaker and make a splash where they are strong.

Paris continues to stay winning as the best castle park! (Even if they also have the Tomorrowland problem, but all Tomorrowlands do)

Should stress that DLP's Rives are not going anywhere because Big Thunder Mountain is on the island in the middle, and you it was built so the track goes under the river. Only if they got rid of Big Thunder would DLP's rivers leave, Might as well update the rivers if they're staying

Not really. The situations are entirely different. The DLP river is not 55 years old and in need of extensive maintenance. DLP does not have significant issues with park capacity. The company has no intentions of massive investment in DLP. So even if their river suffers the same issues of lack of utilization there is no pressing need or desire to address that.
