I had a quick look back at historical discount rates.

I can't find any post-2020 discount for All-Star Sports that's at least 45% off rack rate, or that covers the entire month of July:
  • Was 20% off with no min stay in 2023, but only for July 11 onward
  • Was 15% off with no min stay in 2022 but excluded first week of July
Is this the steepest discount we've seen in a decade?

Pre Skyliner you could get a room at POP for under $100/night with a room only discount if you booked after Labor Day or other off peak times of the year, but when was the last time you could book All-Star Sprots during Summer for $99 with or without a discount?

It's also a good marketing incentive to sign up for Disney+ if you haven't already, even at the lowest tier

Anyone who sees these rates would probably think it's worth it just to save money on their trip

Outside of maybe their internal cast rates, yes. This is highly aggressive pricing.

Those Values and Moderates are very fair priced. I would totally grab one if I had plans to go to WDW- but I do not. I know that the deluxe prices are much better than their overly inflated rack rate, but I still do not see the value in those rooms. I imagine the AKL example is the cheapest rate for deluxes and they only go up from there, but it is still not a true value.
