I didn't say it doesn't perform the function of entrance better. I said that it shouldn't be treated like transplanting it as an EPCOT entrance would be a good idea. You're using words like "inspiring" and "optimistic" to draw a parallel to EPCOT themes when Celestial Park isn't really either of those things. It's just a lovely park, and that was the stated goal.
I figured you could see the nuance of fitting the theme being different while serving similar purposes when I said it did what EPCOT said it's new plaza would do.
Green space, elevated dining(I mean Pizza Moon blows Connections away) and water.features(Whuch EPCOT's plaza demolished the Fountain of Nations without giving anything back in its place.
Enthusiasts are disagreeing. Optimism is an architectural design that Celestia Park has in its design from buildings to music.
(When people say lovely and nice, they are typically talking about environments that are optimistic and inspiring)
Shouldn't the multi million dollar(hundreds) and many year refurb of good bones be better than the one weakest land that everyone is nitpicking of the less money earning competitor? That was the point.
Disney rarely designs anything on this scale anymore for WDW

The leaked Monsters POV doesn't even show a few of the best moments. It has some bad cuts and isn't complete. Ride time is about 5 minutes. The POV doesn't convey the intimate feeling the ride creates in person. If you think the POV looks good, you'll be in awe in person.

That's not really what nuance is. I didn't miss subtle cues in your post; you instead expect me to assume you meant something slightly different or more open-ended than what you actually said. You made a statement with three points—that Celestial Park is 1) classy, 2) a great entrance, and 3) nailing EPCOT plaza vibes. I didn't refute either of the first two points. I simply said that, on the third point, I disagreed that it represents what an EPCOT entrance should be aside from having a fountain. It's themed to a specific historical conception of "park" and "exhibition" that is impressive and beautiful but not really future-thinking, aspirational, or optimistic.
kind of like a permanent world's fair you might say, just with a Celestial being twist.
It is not a one to one of course because the mission statements are different(EPCOT's through line is just as fuzzy anymore) it is easy to see how It is done better.
This is why EPCOT planned to go with neighborhoods of its revamp in the plans rather than Future World and Pavilion focus. A world's Fair is not just FUTURE sci fi to reality.
Also, Celestial Park is not themed strictly to a specific time period but an algamation of cultures in an abstract fictitious world where the Portals are.
But all that aide to say the point
The Disney competitor just built a better entrance hub hybrid plaza so it is glaringly obvious why people would not be as critical on sightline flaws.

Yeah I can tell they cut and edited out parts and i'm sure it's much better in person. Forbidden Journey is almost impossible to record properly, and this ride seems like it will have similar problems. Even with all that said, first impressions are still fantastic. LOTS of impressive physical scenery and practical effects, not just filled with almost nothing aside from projection (even though it obviously still has some of that too).
The animatronics are a surprise, there's both a lot of them and they also seem quite impressive technologically for what i've come to expect from Universal. I knew they would have a couple of really good ones from teasers, but there's just a lot more than I thought there would be.
I don't much like Rise of the Resistance for the record, and this Monsters ride easily blows it out of the water for me. But I also think Monsters is looking much better than other modern rides I DO have a high opinion on such as Forbidden Journey. Or the Fantasy Springs attractions.

It is indeed easy to see how the execution is better, which is why I never disputed that. I'm not sure why you're unable to distinguish pointed exception to one part of your statement from wholesale rejection of your entire point of view.
It is generally evocative of a time when people were de-barking sequoias to display their skin in crystal palace horticultural halls as a curiosity. It's not remotely a World's Fair in the way EPCOT intends.
The Chronothing in the front of the park has four orbs representing the four worlds (other than Celestial Park).
It doesn't look like it left room for another orb. I'm not saying they can't find a way to cram one or two more orbs into it, it's just that it's obvious that there's no placeholder for a new one.
If a new land is coming in those 'expansion pads'... well, doesn't seem like it's coming sooner than later.
This is based on my scientific and accurate orbological expertise.

The expansion pads don't need to be for new lands, but attractions for most of them.
More obvious for sure but that IOA gate added Potter even though there was no fruit bearing leaf on the gate.(took years, looks different and there is still yet a Skull Island one.)

Chronos was designed for six portals.
The park’s large pads were intended as new lands. The infrastructure of the park runs along their edges, making them expansion pads for the existing lands more challenging. Super Nintendo World was not designed for expansion. Berk is not as literally boxed in but similar. Dark Universe has space largely due to the removal of the show. Wizarding World had a space before the second ride was removed and that space is also now available.
Nintendo and Paris both have pads directly slated for their future use.

No, for the thousandth time, Super Nintendo World is a clone of Japan down to having no consideration for expansion in it or the park’s design. There is program, infrastructure and actual structure holding up the land all in the way that would not be there if expansion was planned from the start.
It is gonna be ok.
