I'm not defending the many flaws Six Flags has, but just wanted to point out that during the rare instances when it actually tries, it succeeds. This vibe? The poorly-laid concrete and Six-Flags vibe?

I am especially curious about Celestial Park because I always felt the concept art made it look pleasant enough, though I never really understood why people seemed so excited by what they were seeing. It looked to me like a nicely landscaped space with lakes, fountains, retail, dining, and a few attractions, but nothing really beyond that. Even the landscaping seemed mostly lawns and trees. Then there's the big hotel tower looming over it all.People who have been have posted on this website that they were disappointed with it.
Again, I hope they're wrong, because it looked great in concept art. The photos that have leaked (as well as some of the aerials) are not especially impressive, though.
Wow, that actually is rather nice. Will it be getting demoed like everything else now that the merger has gone through?I'm not defending the many flaws Six Flags has, but just wanted to point out that during the rare instances when it actually tries, it succeeds.

I don't understand why there's already cracked concrete in a brand new park
Because concrete pouring isn’t an exact science and sometimes thing happen as it dries.
Concrete doesn’t dry, it cures. It also cracks, but that can be controlled when properly designed. The photo isn’t just showing typical cracking that just didn’t occur in the right place. Nor is it the result of something being installed. It’s large chunks of what appears to be a topping layer that wasn’t properly adhered at the joint. It was t installed properly. In isolation it’s not much of a problem and can be fixed, but it’s not the only bit of small but kind of shoddy work some of which won’t be so easily addressed. They are still installing stuff into the park.
Looks like some People took a Tour of Helios
I Like the Coverage but I didn't realize Media was Starting this Early....yeah, media/vloggers are there this weekend for coverage, started with Helios yesterday and think the park today
Helios looks really nice - definitely similar to Destino (at least the lobby) to me and also has a Vegas hotel vibe (at least through video).
The pool area looks really nice, though did notice from some angles you are staring right at the back of the show building for MU which definitely takes away from the vibe. Maybe over time trees will block the view but didn't seem like many planted between the pool and the building
I am glad we decided to splurge a bit and are staying here in a theme park view room for a few nights in August before Destination D23

That was in the past. Since the merger they have been focusing more on theming. Not to Disney level but closer to Dollywood level.Well, both Great America parks were built by Marriott, so no. The only thing that Six Flags has done is vomit DC heroes everywhere.
Ah okay. So monsters is very visible
I’m gonna bet the shrubs are vast majority of that figure.According to an article in the NYTimes, CP has over 160,000 trees and shrubs and over 7 million points of light.
