Yeah, if the subfloor has to be significantly messed with before installation, sometimes grout and occasionally tile will crack within a few months due to settling, but not this quickly unless someone really messed up.
I knew I saw some Construction Walls still in there when I was watching Streams on Sat.Main Street Emporium Shortcut to Adventureland Closed Again for Construction at Magic Kingdom
Sure is a lot of referbs around MK.......Are these all related to Summer Crowds/Starlight???

Could be. Still no light package install happening, unless it was never going to be something we would notice.
A Light Package Install(if there's is one)wouldn't be tied to any Referb I would think......

Well, that looks terrible. Why would two openings next to each other ever be designed that way? At least make it symmetrical!

They aren't going to add a header to the top on the other side after the decorative details have already been added. That is the finished look.

If you see the whole length of this area it’s more balanced with a lower portion at both ends, this is just a snapshot of one small area

Why? They’re letting it be seen. The experience for many guests is exactly what is there, not what it will be at another time.

Why didn't they do this while it was shut down?
I mean, it's certainly preferable to leaving it as bland and unthemed as it was assuming this turns out decently, but it's strange that they are doing it now.

Definitely would have been preferable to just shut down this corner block and do it all at once out of view. There’s more than enough closed retail around the park they could have shuffled things around to.

These interiors have been redone so many times they’ve completely lost any tectonic sense. A complete mish mash of just vaguely old timey ornament stuff slapped onto things.

If they had built a proper bypass on the side of Main Street they could have avoided all this, but instead they’ve turned this part of the emporium into the bypass and created their own problem
You know what's sad? Looking at those photos, I have absolutely no idea where in the Emporium this is. The "front" portion across from the candy shop, perhaps? I used to be able to know a section by the decor and aesthetics. Now, with everything being turned into "bland, contemporary mall store"...
