I hope they bought about 50 palettes of this stuff...

I think expanding the que/waiting area would make the experience much more enjoyable. It's absolutely the worst waiting area of any attraction. It's extremely claustrophobic, and the 'music' / constant march drum beat can really get on your nerves. :(
I unfortunately, that is unlikely to happen as there is no space for the queue to expand.

Outside FoP, I think Buzz suffers the most from exaggerated Disney posted wait times due to how small their queue is. They kind of have to (from an ops point) exaggerate in order to keep the queue from spilling out if they had post an accurate one.

Very rarely post here but want to share my thoughts. This is "my ride." I've been on this thing probably 400 or so times across my life. I have consistent photos of my brother and I on this since I was a small child. The photos we've taken on it show my progression in life year-by-year like few other things.

I'm over the moon that this refurbishment likely means it has a lot of juice left before they inevitably decide to scrap it for whatever IP is hot at the moment. Crossing all fingers and toes that this refurb turns out well and not too much is outright changed other than upgrades to the shooting system and making some effects smoother/better (looking at you, Escape Hatch). People complain about missing Mr. Toad's Wild Ride with its charming blacklit cutouts and twists and turns; well, spinning and shooting in this blacklit ride gives me the same feeling. Most underrated ride on property and it isn't close, I don't think.

I know basically all there is to know about this ride, so I'll leave you all with a bit of trivia so maybe someone on here will appreciate this ride a tiny bit more than they already do- everyone always says that the chickens in the Planet Z room are from Delta Dreamflight. That's correct, but they're missing the fact that a ton of the Planet Z room (and a lot of other stuff) is from Delta Dreamflight. I'll provide one example (I have many many more):

These two lifting some balloons in Delta Dreamflight and moving their arms up and down were turned into these aliens in Space Ranger Spin. Watch videos of each, the motion is exact.

Positive development, Magic Kingdom doesn't really need a grand Tomorrowland overhaul like DL. They just need to tackle one attraction at a time akin to this.

It does feel increasingly like Magic Kingdom is getting asymmetrical spending now.

Also this is like the 5th small-moderate project since D23. Which gives another good indicator on projects starting to pick up towards spending intention.

Is there a ride at this park that isn’t “popular”? Wait times shouldn’t be the judge. The fact of the matter is that this ride has never been up to par with the “Disney standard”, and these long overdue updates aren’t going to change that. What the ride needs is a complete overhaul in terms of set design and figures. It looks on par with my local laser tag arena (which isn’t great).
I don’t disagree, the target upgrades and new guns will go a long way. DL already has something similarl and my kids liked it more and keep asking when WDW will get upgraded.

You know who'd really benefit from a 4-6 month refurbishment? Frozen Ever After. Just swap out the projected faces for physical faces and that's the most of what they'd need to do.
While that would be nice I think need to focus on all older attractions first.

Peter Pan and It’s a Small world could use some updates as well.

Which I feel are certainly in the works based on permits we saw for Pan at least.

Didn’t Pan get the new scene last August? Or are there new permits I don’t know about?
I don’t think it ever went down for refurbishment.

They were filed and nothing has come of it yet.

Haunted Mansion has permits out as well so we might see something new there as well even though that ride is the golden child of the MK and seen plenty of updates over the years.
