I’ve now heard from a several more people that terminations related to “leaks” - meaning unauthorized photos, videos, livestreams, or reselling preview merch - have reportedly ranged from several dozen to over 100 per day during previews.
Yeah, I must say that seems like it's going to cause staffing problems for them in a competitive labor market as they gear up for a massive expansion.Does Universal has such a large supply of staffing that it can let go of up to 100 per day?? That’s a lot of people.
While I get the reasoning behind not allowing photos, videos, etc. and don't have any problem with it, my initial thought was that it wasn't especially feasible in 2025 once you start allowing thousands of people to visit the place. Up until now, though, it did seem like they were pulling it off which could mean I was wrong. If they're really having to fire hundreds of people to make this policy work, though, I would again question whether it's worth it.
