I’ve now heard from a several more people that terminations related to “leaks” - meaning unauthorized photos, videos, livestreams, or reselling preview merch - have reportedly ranged from several dozen to over 100 per day during previews.

Does Universal has such a large supply of staffing that it can let go of up to 100 per day?? That’s a lot of people.

Yeah, I must say that seems like it's going to cause staffing problems for them in a competitive labor market as they gear up for a massive expansion.

While I get the reasoning behind not allowing photos, videos, etc. and don't have any problem with it, my initial thought was that it wasn't especially feasible in 2025 once you start allowing thousands of people to visit the place. Up until now, though, it did seem like they were pulling it off which could mean I was wrong. If they're really having to fire hundreds of people to make this policy work, though, I would again question whether it's worth it.

Once the reality hits them that they're going to be short staffed, they'll probably back down and use different discipline.

I think BOTW/TOTK could strike a good equilibrium. That blue outfit would be an issue though....

Just have that Link in the Tunic of the Wild. While the blue outfit is the iconic look for that particular Link he can wear whatever he finds.

After walking through the land I asked my family for their feelings about the intrusive sightlines, even pointing out Stardust and the Untrainable Dragon show building. They didn’t notice these things until I pointed them out, and even after doing so they didn’t care at all. As we walked back to the car my family gave Berk full marks as the best land in the park. They were not expecting anything at all from Hiccups Wing Gliders and it became their consensus favorite ride in the entire park. Berk isn’t just a slam dunk, it’s a breakaway windmill slam dunk with the crowd going berserk (Berk-serk?) as confetti rains down from the ceiling. Guests are absolutely going to eat this land up, the gamble on this IP paid off big time.

I think the same way your family does. I have been to Universal many times and have never even noticed these "sight lines". Maybe I'm not observant? I am too busy enjoying the attractions and never even look for poor sight lines. Maybe I'm not alone in thinking this? If I did happen to see them, I wouldn't really care, and go on to the next attraction.

I don’t understand. With all of the pre-visualization tools that are available and surely being used by Universal Creative, why would hiding building systems and structures be part of stress testing?

This specific example is a complete non issue, and happens a lot on Disney’s attractions too.

The ceiling and exposed show building walls are illuminated by the show lighting and well within your peripheral vision when looking right at the dinosaurs. It’s a distraction and it takes you out of the scene, which is supposed to look as if you are outside not in a giant warehouse. The show lighting is too bright.

Perhaps the lowest show quality of any dark ride Disney has created in at least 20 years. Not exactly an example of what a new E-ticket should strive for.

Or maybe the consensus is watch the show elements and stop gawking around trying to see BTS. You might just see a girl in a space station or something. If you want to see a kuka ride in action sit on the end of the potter bookcase and you get a good view but I'd rather focus on the action.

It's just picking at this point, if it is fun you don't care and if it isn't you get bored and look around.

It’s an issue of poorly designed show lighting.

My concern is based on several reviews that complained about the exact same problem inside Monsters Unchained. I’m not the only one that finds fault with these issues.

Now, it sounds like you don’t mind these types of issues. That’s fine. But there are others that do.

That’s perfectly fine! I would only have a problem if you could see beyond the show scenes. If the KUKA arms are part of the show scenes then I don’t have a problem with them being seen.
