And off subject, but that has got to be my #1 pick for the most cringiest name for a roller coaster... "The Flying Dinosaur"
Not sure why that bugs me. Ride looks fun, but my gosh, change the name.

I mean they also have a rollercoaster named Hollywood Dream - The Ride. I think it would easier for them to understand when it's basic English words than let's say naming it Soaring with the Pteranodon which is the main dino for this ride.

It's because outside of birds, dinosaurs can't fly. Pterodactyls aren't dinosaurs. It's false advertising and we must bring these crooks to justice for lying to their guests. I demand a name change to "The Flying Prehistoric Reptile" ASAP.

I get it that many younger readers resort to mockery if they don't have a valid point to make. But you missed mine altogether. It's about the wording sounding way too simple and rushed together, not the fact they referenced a flying dinosaur. Sorry my opinion is too complex.

Nono, I think the name is awful too, like, outside of joking-reasons. It just sounds so... bland? Something like Velocicoaster or Pterodactyl Flyers is more exciting, it's a good name for a coaster, but The Flying Dinosaur sounds more like a name you'd see for like a coaster at something not as classy as Universal. Trying to convey my point but the cheap name feels like it brings down the quality of the ride.

Yeah it’s not a great name to Americans but that’s literally how things like coasters get named in Japan (see: “Flying Fish Coaster” and “Raging Spirits”). Weird thing to get hung up on, but if you haven’t been or understand the culture I could see the issue.

You’re not wrong, but it’s kindof genius they painted the Flying Dinosuar the same colors as the bridge to draw your eyes away from it/make it blend into the background. Honestly I only noticed the bridge when backstage on that side of the park and I honestly forgot about it inside the park. That’s not to say it’s not there, because like your picture shows it absolutely is, but I guess noticing it as a guest just depends on if you’re looking for that sort of thing or not.

That maybe true, but the queue for velocicoaster might as well be backstage. It’s looming over top of you.

There’s a lot of times we post photos and fixate on things here. But that was a time I was struck with how little effort there was to hide it. The occasional traffic noise was the distractor.

Which is a bit of a shame because Jurassic Park is one that deserves being a bit more immersive. Singapores Minions Mayhem is the latest Guardians-like. Arguably worse for just not caring. The Guardians building is at least offset.

I hear good reviews on the Monster's Ride, but what is the motion sickness factor? I don't do well on Forbidden Journey, and I hear this ride is even longer.

Forbidden Journey makes me nauseous. Monsters did not.

Also Guardians makes me nauseous. Curse of the Werewolf did not.

The worst ride name IMO is “Transformers: the Ride - 3D”. Why does the name describe what it is? This feels like a name from 1990.

He’s the small and cartoony partner of an explorer (maya in this case) who wears old fashioned clothing, as the pair explores the universe in a fantastical ship (for sweets in this case). I got this off of pictures online of the tag and the moonship sweets shirt and the little blurb on the tag.

Sound familiar?

I’m guessing because pronunciation of American English is difficult for native Japanese speakers. Same reason Ronald McDonald is named Donald McDonald in Japan….
