How can I collapse Similar Threads?

Just started today, on macbook running chrome, there is now extra clutter at the bottom of each clicked on thread, titled Similar Threads. How can I collapse this?

To add, I am not a fan of Trending Content being above Latest WDWMagic News on the right side of the Forum Home Page. Latest news is important to me and now I have to search for it rather than it immediately catching my eye.

The link to return to the forum main page used to be right below the last reply, which is how I navigated the pages. Now, for some reason, due to more unnecessary visual clutter being added, it is farther down the page, an entire page's worth of scrolling (more on my phone). If it doesn't change, I will eventually use my adblock and block that space.
