If Indiana Jones goes, I think it would become another show to continue absorbing guests during the day. Maybe Guardians? It's one of the few Marvel properties Disney can use east of the Mississippi.

You can fit several rides on the Indy footprint and increase capacity as well as dramatically shift guest flow in the park.

Lately Disney is acting like Universal in the 2000s and early 2010s. They just seem to think that if they axe these classics as quickly as possible nobody will notice

Yeah, but the stuff Uni replaced wasn’t very good and didn’t have decades of nostalgia and cultural meaning attached.

Monstropolis looks better than I expected, and seeing how the coaster will be an actual expansion pleases me. I'm curious to see what the new Monster show looks like and if Disney gets rid of the Laughter floor at the Magic Kingdom.

Muppets in Rock'n'RollerCoaster sounds good to me, but I understand that people who don't ride coasters won't have access to the Muppets (well only to the store). I agree it would be nice if Muppet Vision 3D could replace the villains show in the future and make from this corner a little Muppets Studio area.

Also, could MuppetVision be moved to the 3D theater in Epcot next to Figment? I think that theater is empty.

That’s really really interesting about preserving the show. They also say ‘other parts of the experience’ which leads me to believe that it will be moving somewhere possibly as that wording insinuates that it will be more than just the film playing on loop in a gift shop.

Animation Courtyard becomes Muppet Studios. Fits in neatly with Hollywood Studios. Include MuppetVision 3D. Connect it to Sunset Blvd and the new Muppet coaster.

They could have moved Muppets to Star Tours and had a muppets in space themed simulator with funny moments and lots of different characters and star tours wouldn’t feel so odd outside of the Star Wars area

Then just add random rock music to the existing RNRC and keep the main theme

As it currently stands, ToT and Indy are the only two classic MGM attractions still standing. If Indy is on the chopping block because he’s moving to AK, they need to throw us fans a bone and at least protect ToT. After they took GMR from us ToT is the backbone of the entire park

Indy is like half the sq ft of TSL. So you can probably get a decent dark ride and a flat in there easily.

Except there are no bathrooms.

Too many thoughts on this. In this post, I'll hit on the overlay of RnRC.

Great idea. It fits. It doesn't have the problem of trying find a group that everybody likes, while having to pay for it. Doesn't have the problem of any filmed scenes aging poorly -- Aerosmith members don't really look like that anymore, for exmaple. Disney got lucky that Aerosmith remainined popular (as a band) as long as they did, but it was getting to the point that some kind of replacement was needed.

No problem, I assume, with music rights. And keeps the Muppets alive and hopeuflly relevant. I thought Muppets Mayhem was really well done, and this might well turn into a sequel of sorts to that.

And RnRC with Can You Picture That playing works just as well as Sweet Emotion. Plus, the pre and post-show could have audio animatronic Muppets instead of only filmed stuff. I think this'll be great, and we might wind up with a Muppet meet and greet out of it as well.

Plus, the Muppets fit in a Hollywood-based area. Much better than Incredibles or GotG or any other IP that might have been used.

I'm looking forward to riding this one.

I knew there was a reason why they were completely silent about where they were going to be putting Monstropolis at D23...because they were dead-set on doing this.

That they're thinking about preserving MuppetVision in some form gives me a small glimmer of hope, but there are still so many unanswered questions: of the two hypothetical locations for Monstropolis, which one really won out? Did more people internally aim for Animation Courtyard yet they went ahead with Grand Avenue regardless because cost reasons? Why are they so adamant on keeping the stagnant Launch Bay (and AC in general) the way it is? How out of touch with their audience is TDO?

The only thing not safe about ToT is the Twilight Zone part of the plot.

I think they'll consider moving it elsewhere, but they left it ambiguous enough that if that fails they'll just stick it in Disney Plus and call it a day.

While the plot is what makes the attraction for me, as long as the hotel remains I can live with it. I just don’t want it to become Dr Strange Magical Fortress Adventure

Phase 2 of what?

Disney's said they're spending $60B over 10 years on Parks & Experiences.

Keeping in mind that time is a construct and words have no inherent meaning...consider this.

All the stuff they've announced so far - Cars Land, Villains Land, Tropical Americas, etc. - is basically Phase 1 of the plan, for 2025 to 2029 - the first 5 years of that 10 year spend.

We know this because all of those projects don't add up to anything close to $60B, even accounting for inflation, the fact that nobody's ever said whether it's CapEx, OpEx, or both, and so on.

Since everything they've announced fits into the first 5 years of the 10 year announcement, there'll be a Phase 2 announced probably around D23 2028 or so. I think they need to see how Epic U does, whether the economy returns to pre-pandemic inflation levels, etc.
