We just left and they haven’t started anything in the lobby yet. There’s pretty heavy construction out by the espn club, but it didn’t seem disruptive. I just felt bad for the workers. It was so hot.Anyone know when the room/lobby construction is set to start at the Boardwalk? We are staying there end of august into LDW. I’ll change to a new resort if it will be heavily under construction at that time.
Sorry, I missed the reports, but what exactly are they doing with the lobby? Just touching some things up, or more of a full renovation? Also, any restaurants or marketplace type offerings expected Inside the resort?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much! Here's all the information on the upcoming changes -

Disney's BoardWalk to be updated with new table service restaurant, bakery, enhancements to the hotel's lobby, and refreshed guest rooms
Major changes are coming to Disney's BoardWalk at Walt Disney World.www.wdwmagic.com
ESPN Club is gone (they demolished the building) and they are putting in a ridiculously overpriced bakery.Don’t quote me, but I believe new lobby with a coffee shop, room renovations, and some changes on some of restaurants along the boardwalk.
Correct me if I am wrong but I do not believe the building has been demolished. I believe that the external theming elements have been removed but the building remains. I could be mistaken.ESPN Club is gone (they demolished the building) and they are putting in a ridiculously overpriced bakery.
As @plutofan15 said, the building was not demolished, just modified.ESPN Club is gone (they demolished the building) and they are putting in a ridiculously overpriced bakery.
I thought so. Curious to see how it looks when we are down there in a few weeks. A little sad to see ESPN go, gave some life to that end of the boardwalk. As @plutofan15 said, the building was not demolished, just modified.
