Are there really that many vloggers at the parks?

We recently started watching a few video bloggers on YouTube. At first it was to see rides we haven’t rode yet but it then turned into non intentional comic theater. These people have zero self awareness and man it is funny. Funny to the point that we made word bingo cards to play with the videos. The one thing we noticed is that bloggers meets up with other bloggers during videos and you see all of them doing their own shows.

My question is are there really that many at the parks on a given day? In the videos it certainly looks like there are bottlenecks in areas with bloggers. Like the old smoking areas for cigarette use.

I am only using my DVC points for home stays until we can get AP’s again but I am now wondering if the local attention seekers are part of the reason for the stop in AP distribution?

Seriously, it seems like these sources of entertainment are like the mallrats of the late 80’s. Is there a gang of misfits at Walt Disney?

No
I only ever notice hoards of them when new things open. They *have* to be the first to get the scoop and views. For example, I opened Disney Style at DS in 2018 and on opening day you wouldn't believe the insane amount of vloggers that swarmed the store to get pics and vids of all the product. They were lined up outside the store as soon as the garages opened to the public. To me, that's overkill. In general, as long as they aren't drastically impacting my day or ruining the experience, they don't bother me. Frankly, I'm more annoyed by the people who cosplay and throw themselves on every bench (or even trash can) for photo-ops.

I watch a few vloggers regularly. It seems when they get together they all want to be the funniest, loudest vlogger of the day. Whenever I see a few vloggers ride together I always feel bad for the civilian riders riding with them, (I'm looking at you Gran Fiesta Tour.)

When a vlogger is doing a food review it seems there's always someone in the background looking at them like 'just shut up and eat, dude'.

They are fun to watch individually, but, I always get the idea they are like the obnoxious guy elbowing his way to the front everywhere they go.

As far as the AP question goes, there could be due to them. I am only going by youtube, not in person experience. I haven't been to WDW since 2019. I believe the vlogging has gotten worse since then.

When it comes to youtube personalities, I don't know how many there are. I know there is 3 or 4 different groups at least without counting allears for the parks or the website that shall not be named. Youtube channels for vloggers are usually at least 2 people like in the case of resort tv1. The Trackers anywhere from 1 to 3 people. Paging Mr. Morrow is 1 person, but he can be in groups on his videos.

I know Paging Mr. Morrow did a youtube video in May for Cosmic Wind and showed how he did 2 Cosmic Rewind Coaster rides in 1 day despite it be very hard to pull that off. When a person like Mr. Morrow does 2 Cosmic Rewind rides in a day. He's also know for very loud.

I know some things with vloggers that could help you out. Allears and Disney Food Blog are owned by the same company. There are multiple people that work for allears and Disney Food Blog. I don't know the amount by those youtube channels combined in terms of people they have. Keep in mind, there could be assistants at Disney food blog for eating the food. The website shall not be named has multiple also and they do have a youtube channel.

We go to Disney a lot and have only seen one. It was some girl walking through Pandora filming herself and talking. Yes, it looked awkward. Yes, others looked and probably got a chuckle or two.
Though if you really think about it, she was making money for visiting WDW while we were spending a small fortune, so maybe it was she who should be laughing at us.

(Correction. Assuming she was making money if she was in fact a blogger and a successful one. For all we know she could have been chatting with family and not earning a dime.)

I remember seeing a bunch of vloggers on YouTube shout the lyrics to "Feliz Navidad" on the monorail after drinking at the monorail resorts. Some of these people lack public self-awareness.

Yes there are many in the parks. Especially when there’s something noteworthy going on. The more popular ones that have been around for a longer time and have built up a following stand out. We’ve met a couple and they have been courteous , stopped filming to spend a few moments with us. The numbers have increased as the better known ones have gotten fame and makes others think they too could break into the industry. When you have the looks, the personality, the way you deliver the content, who knows how good of a living you could make? No they are not the reason for the AP issue. There aren’t that many to affect Disneys policy changes.

We see at least one a day. The good ones don't get in the way of anything you are doing. I know this past trip one absolutely blocked the view of my kid with their camera.... and my kid is 5'9" so not entirely short like me (I happened to not be on the ride at that time). Most are meh and avoidable as a whole. Some really do try to make a lot of noise so to speak, in order to get you to follow them.

I've never seen any vloggers inside the parks but I saw two in the Jambo House gift shop. They were trying VERY hard to avoid each other as they were each filming the merchandise. At one point they almost bumped into each other at the back of the shop by the drink freezers. Vloggers in general don't annoy me but I thought that specific incident was a little amusing.

This happens to us every trip, I don’t think it’s ever been vloggers though, just people who feel they need to record everything while holding their camera above their head.

I think common courtesy is just becoming a thing of the past, flash photography and bright screens on dark rides are increasingly common and I can’t remember the last time I watched a show without several screens in my line of sight.

I spend quite a bit of time at DL and have seen the Fresh Baked guy probably a dozen times, the Carpetbagger guy a couple times, and the Best Life couple several times… I find the sight of them filming themselves amusing but they’ve never bothered me any more than the average park guest does. People filming every second of their day (whether for YouTube or pure vanity) seems to be a national pastime now.

There are also tiers... there are the successful we all know, a lower tier of some people know them, a niche group that only does food or rides, then people who watch them and copy them but never post them, and the people with super low views.

So big time vloggers prob not a super amount id say around 50 accounts (super vague guess) but 100s of the lower tiers.

Recently I found myself being recorded by a pair of these morons and instructed them to get their camera off me and to immediately stop recording me or I will call my friends in security. I put my own camera on them while I said this and they did not like it one bit. I found them later camped out by a washroom recording a large swath of the public, for what. These clowns need to be stopped and thrown out of the park - every freaking one of them. We don't go an vacation to have some bozos recording us constantly.

Best you don't go to any Disney park as you are being recorded anyway. And they already have your permission on your entrance ticket media .

On the contrary, Disney invites them to special free events and treats them like royalty.

I don't have any issue with Disney recording. It is all these carpetbagger clowns that have NO RIGHT to be recording every body under the sun. The ticket does NOT permit that, and Disney needs to throw this people OUT.

Then you probably shouldn't go because you are going to be in 1000's of video and pictures taken by regular guests.

Again that is not issue. These are people with gimbals etc. that are specifically and intentionally recording for YouTube purposes. And they have no right to sit and record me or anyone else for extended periods of time.
