I’m excited to hear the first reports of this attraction. Hoping they come fairly soon, we have all been waiting for this for a very long time.
@SirBrayden on Twitter posted that a few people he knows who have ridden the ride have said very good things about it. Also, they say the queue is quite well done.

Interesting that the description doesn't include "drops":

For contrast, even Test Track next door is labeled with "small drops":

It's hard to imagine there being nothing that qualifies as a "drop." Perhaps this is just an error.

Marvel announces the antagonist in Cosmic Rewind -

View attachment 633507

"A leisurely tour through the Wonders of Xandar is about to take a turn! When Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens at EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer, be prepared to come face to face with Eson, who Marvel.com can reveal is the antagonist of the attraction!

Visitors hoping to explore and learn a little bit about the first-ever other-worldly pavilion in the area will get more than they expected when Eson, a Celestial that has been watching Earth for eons, makes a startling appearance. The Celestial is looking “to right a wrong in a big way,” and the Guardians of the Galaxy — Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot — step in to help save the day. But, they can’t do it alone and need our help to stop him from completing his grand plan!

What does that entail? While that remains to be seen, you just know there are going to be some rockin’ tunes along the way to saving the galaxy, again. Find the first look at Eson from the attraction, above!

While Eson might be a stranger to visitors at the Wonders of Xandar, he’s no stranger to the Guardians. While the Celestial and the ragtag troop have never crossed paths before, Eson was once in possession of the Power Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones, as the group learned in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Now, he’s clearly set his sights on Earth, which can hopefully be thwarted before full destruction!"

Wonder why he has 4 headlight eyes instead of 6? I’ve mostly just seen him in the background of the Marvel posters and a related creature in The Eternals, which I thought had a ridiculous plot. Honestly I was expecting a more human antagonist but I can see how this’ll work with the huge screens. Hopefully this is better than the eternals!

The Celestial with 6 eyes from Eternals is Arishem. Different character

Eson from the Guardians movie, as The Collector tells the tale, indeed has six eyelights. But then again, the Marvel Parks Universe is not the same as the MCU.

Trivia

  • In the comics, Eson the Searcher was a Celestial who was tasked with "seeking." Arriving with the Fourth Host's visit to Earth, he observes first Florida then Lemuria.
First observed Florida? No wonder why he wants to destroy the planet!

It would make sense, but I’d think someone would know what it is. To my knowledge Mindbender is the longest at 4,198 ft. and this is about 5,500.
Mindbender and Crazy Bats over at Phantasialand in Germany are currently the two longest full enclosed rollercoasters right now. If Cosmic is 5,500 then it will surely take the spot. Also Mindbender and Crazy Bats have the traditional lift hills that could add up to the duration of the ride. I'm not sure if Cosmic Rewind will be all launches and no lift hill.
