Club Level at Destino Tower thoughts? (post-COVID especially)

Hello All,

So, the brifraz clan finds themselves possibly staying in a Club Level room at Destino Tower, Coronado Springs this summer for just a couple nights. Not sure if it will pan out, but if it does I was hoping to get some feedback about the Chronos Club - in particular since COVID reopening. I found a few reviews online, but almost all are pre-COVID and I have a feeling that things may have changed.

Food? Drink? Comfort? Hours? Other info?

Thanks for any suggestions, feedback, advice, or information that you might have!

Experienced club level here for the first time last month and it was an amazing experience. The cast were wonderful and took great care of us. A member of our party eats a vegan diet, and one night they weren’t able to get a vegan dessert offering for him because Toledo (where most of the food comes from) was closed, so they sent a cast member to DAK Lodge to get him vegan spice cake as a surprise! The food and drinks were good and plentiful. When told we planned on heading to the pool for the afternoon the cast made us a to go kit of the beer and snacks we liked to take with us. I can’t say enough how great the cast was. The lounge was nice and spacious, always seating available. Great views outside but not really good for fireworks, but I spent hours staring out the window. If you have any specific questions let me know please :)

Sounds great! We are DVC 99.9% of our visits, so looking forward now to something quite different.

Are the hours still 7am-10pm?

We just returned and we had stayed Club Level at Destino. We have tried a majority of the club level rooms/resorts over the years and IMO, Chronos Lounge was the best!

CMs were OUTSTANDING. The selections they offered throughout the day were excellent. I especially liked that they will serve alcohol during the non evening hours. Or at least beer.

We arrived in the afternoon and I asked the CM if I was able to get a beer even though there was no alcohol being served. She said no problem and went to the back and got me one. I went with a Sam Adam's.

The lounge itself and the views are beautiful.

Afternoon selections were great. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and veggies cup with ranch sauce at the bottom. Both were very good.

They also had some fresh made cookies and fruit cups. I didnt get a photo.

Breakfast was a huge variety of options. You can expand the pictures to read what the offerings are.

I asked of theynhad Coconut or oat milk instead of creamer and they did! They brought me a full glass to our table.

Overall experience was amazing. I can't recommend enough.

They even dimm the lights during Fantasmic at night and you can see the fireworks. They have lots of games and stuff for kids as well.

I say go for it and book it. You won't be disappointed!

Awesome! So glad to hear it. We are actually already booked, but might have a chance to switch to an RCI exchange room elsewhere (for a lot less $$) - your report definitely makes me think we are going to stick with it. :)

I was scheduled to stay at GDT Club Level next month after much consideration I decided to switch to Swan Reserve Signature Suite. The biggest factor was not being able to participate in Evening Extra hours. Concierge is very friendly but aside from the service you get in the lounge, club level status doesn't offer much benefit as they pull from the same reservation pool for dining and recreation. Another factor (with Club Level in general) are the lounge hours. I'm usually at the bus stop by 7am so I'd miss breakfast and by the time I get back form the parks, the lounge would be closed. So I'd really only benefit from the lounge during my afternoon break. I also don't drink alcohol and inquired about NA beer options and they don't have any. My room was cheaper by about $120 a night (even after factoring in the resort fee), so I'll just take that money and outfit my room with snacks and beverages via instacart. The lounge does look beautiful though. If you plan on spending more time at the resort I'd say give it a try!

The reason we ended up with GDT Club is that nothing else was available (except All-Stars, which we are NOT fans of) for the couple nights that we were looking for. We are DVC and RCI as well and were hoping for a full week somewhere, but the first couple nights were booked everywhere except GDT Club. We have not concierge/club leveled anywhere before - had anything else been available we would have looked at it!! We will be there for three mornings (very early morning arrival... like 6am) and two of those days are going to be Epcot so we will be able to enjoy the breakfast offerings and will likely also use the lounge for a couple of afternoon/evenings.

Hope you enjoy Swan Reserve!

If you have rci points and flexibility there are DVC dates available. We have 2 weeks (one in July and one in August) booked at Boardwalk through rci.

Sadly we have zero flexibility (end of the school year where we teach and then our daughter goes to study abroad with one week between). We’ve got RCI automatic search and DVC waitlist, but no luck yet. And if we want to do Moonlight Magic at Studios we can’t change anything as of tonight. So Coronado here we come!

Well, that works too! We’re hoping to do moonlight magic in July. I’ll cross my fingers for you during registration!
