Future of the Frontierland Shooting Gallery?

So WDW's version of the Shooting Gallery just reopened with Free Play... And apparent it's closing again for unknown reasons in two months.

Disneyland one hasn't opened yet, so I hope it's safe. I prefer it any of the other shooting attractions Disney has made in the last 15 years or so.

i still havent tried it at DL, but thatd be cool if it went to free play though, id def give it a go.

The WDW situation is bizarre to say the least. That said, I hope ours stays. IMO it adds so much to the atmosphere of the land.

I saw people using it yesterday. I didn't go up to it or look at it because I didn't even know it was closed. So no info on if it was free to play or not.

I've always seen a ton of people using it at all hours of the day, with people giving it multiple rounds (pun intended). When I was there about 3 weeks ago or so, it looked the best it had ever looked and there were lots of people laughing and having a great time.

Yet another voice confirming that quite a few people were checking out the free play arcade at Magic Kingdom yesterday.

So it's clear that Disney will of course be ripping it out. Can't have happiness without profits or waits, you know.

I've done the Frontierland Shooting Gallery a few times over the years I've went and every time I have had fun. It would definitely be great if it went free to play, that would definitely bump up the amount of people using it. I hope they don't shut it down because the only thing they would replace it with would be another spot to sell merch and food, absolutely nothing of substance would go into the spot.

Unpopular opinion: It should not go to free play.

The time limit makes people move on, allowing the next person a chance to play. It's only 50 cents, right?
