1@2i@6:30p followed by some core and stretching.

Seriously, I figured out the 'L' and the 'D' but I don't do LFD so...:)

Eh, I'd view LFD at race pace, with anything slower than that target goal/race pace being LSD.

I "LIKED" this post, but it was too funny to just Like. I had to tell you that you really made me laugh with this one!

: ) Occasionally I make a funny.

4 miles outdoors this morning. My Garmin has been broken for months and I haven't even been using a regular watch, so I have no idea what my outdoor pace is lately. But I'm running :)

I have a treadmill that I love which will be ten years old in December. Last week the power cord connection seemed to break, and I was flipping out because it's no longer under warranty, and lord knows how much a house call would cost to fix it - if the electrical problem could even be fixed. Long story short, my can-fix-most anything-if-I-have-time husband fixed it last night! I'm a happy camper. That treadmill has nearly 3000 miles on it by me and only me, and I have no desire to replace it.

Another 3-4-3 done for the week. It bumps to 3-5-3 next week. Got up at 0500 hoping to see some meteors. Plenty of stars but no luck. Guess you have you have to stand still and look straight up.

It's still hot and humid so I am still running slower than usual. I did make an effort to do a hilly loop twice yesterday and on my way down the second time a tourist took a nasty spill off her bike about 10 feet in front of me and I had to call and wait for an ambulance for about 20 minutes.
I have seen a lot of bike accidents in my time but I have never seen someone simply riding down a hill go over the handle bars with such force that the bike flipped over and went flying forward several feet, most of the time they simply land on their face/head (broken teeth and all). Of course she wasn't wearing a helmet because tourists on rental bikes never wear helmets because they think they are safe inside the park where there is little to no car traffic. Luckily we were able to call her brother who was riding ahead of her to come back and escort her to the hospital.

@JillC LI - glad to hear that the treadmill is back in action for you, what a husband!

My father did one of those over the handlebars falls. Broke his wrist. Mom said it was epic.

I'm almost one minute per mile slower this year and it bothers me. But last summer was mild compared to this year. So I'm blaming the heat, humidity, hills and the bad foot.

My husband did one of those too after hitting a pothole on his bike the summer before senior year of high school. He lost his entire nose as a result of of the accident, and had to endure several operations over the course of senior year to have it rebuilt. Missed out on having his picture on the yearbook because his face was covered in bandages at picture-taking time. I like his nose now :)

As for running, I did 3.5 miles on the TM last night. Felt like torture for some reason but I finished.

'Like' for hanging in on the TM, not for the nose.

I used to bike for cross training but got nervous. Too much invested in these Disney runs to risk a crash.

10 Muggy Miles this morning, 20 for the week. Felt dizzy about mile 7 but a breeze kicked in and woke me up. After mile 8 my body just stopped and seemed like my brain was asking, why are you stopping? Finished strong after that. Just a strange run.

Don't let it bother you - at least that's what I keep telling myself. I am in the same boat with the pace and I feel like if I try to do some speed work on a mildish day it will be more depressing than inspiring. Keep plugging along, Dopey is so far away, you have time to pick up some speed once the heat subsides and you get some good consistent running out of your foot.

Good to hear I'm not the only one. I'm at last year's marathon pace right now which is not good for half distance. But last summer here was historically mild.
