This has also started at WDW, with a two-tiered system where there's a higher price for Magic Kingdom and a lower price for the other three theme parks across all three steps of the Value, Regular and Peak calendar dates.

Disneyland has the biggest price spread of $24 from Value to Peak, whereas WDW has only a $19 price spread for Magic Kingdom and $17 for the other three parks.

Anyone know if I buy tickets today for a trip in 2017 if they will remain just as valid even with new price increases?

Eliminating the monthly payment option would also eliminate a nice chunk of APs, arguably Disneyland's main audience. It's not happening.

Well it will happen if Disney can find a way to offset the decline in APs with more premium pass holders and extend tourist stays. The restructuring of AP offerings last fall and the upcoming tiered pricing is an indication that Disney is getting serious about adding more restrictions to its admissions media and shooting straight for the higher end customer.

No one in the article seems to care about the price increases, and they feel they get their money's worth when they go to Disneyland.

Did you read the whole article? Not everyone was ok with it.
