So, I'm there Saturday and both aliens were working! Can't remember the last time that happened.

And our Mugsy was a really cute blonde. You know that part when Musgy demands your valuables? Yeah, this was me:

I have never seen an alien not working in all my rides and I ride usually every other month or so. Most people often miss one since the alien in the wall does not come out for the first vehicle in the pair. If you're sitting in the front car you'll have to turn around to see it.

Side Alien had lighting issues for a long time. That wouldn't have helped either. Possibly.

Fun fact; GMR is looking better than ever at the moment.

Rode this twice last time we went just because I was afraid of it closing soon. (I would so love to be on the ride right about now...) I love the GMR, one of my favorites in DHS. It's the reason I got into classic movies and musicals growing up, especially Singing in the Rain. Please don't discard this one Disney. It is a true classic, but if you absolutely need to change it....don't pull a JII.

I'm hoping it stays untouched. Robert Osbourne's death may cause more interest in this ride, just like what happened with Captian EO. Also, there are some rides that operated without sponsors like Figment.
Unfortunately most don't even know he's the narrator until they get in there. From what we've heard TCM was willing to potentially extend their sponsorship. If it closes, it seems that Disney is choosing to end it early.

Looking better as in it's staying put or getting a refurb?
Looking at the context I think it's just that many of the features that weren't working are finally working again even though its going to close soon. This project seemed pretty solid it doesn't seem like that is going to change, hope I'm wrong and the mickey ride gets relocated to launch bay area.

Well it still needs to get through summer. Gone are the days of running a ride half-broken like Splash a few years back.

Why does it feel like that's only at certain attractions or parks though? The fact that GMR is functioning better with a few months left than Ellens which has probably a year or two left seems strange. It's nice to see the attractions that are kept up with, it makes for a very noticeable difference.

At least Splash has been working amazing for the past three years. Well... all except for Bluebird. But million dollar rabbit has never faltered when I was there!

Not to stray too far off topic, but I think Brer Rabbit was made much more reliable once they removed the hedge that he used to hop in front of that hid his support arm. One of his major problems was if his timing was slightly out of sequence he'd hit that hedge during his reset swoop and the mechanism would shut down automatically.

Possibly not.
LOL. Between DisneyQuest, GMR, the Tower coming up again, and now this, I'm going to have a stress stroke. We aren't going again until Dec., and skipped last year. I had to break the Osborne Lights to the boys (DS 25, DS 21) about the upcoming trip. Then Disney Quest. Then GMR. Now possibly Ellen?! WTH?! They're still grumbling about the Adventurer's Club. I mean, we like new things, but too much too soon.....
