    My ranking of Disney rooms

I love the Contemporary but I agree about the bathroom -- it was a bit of an awkward layout. I dig the style of the room as a whole though. I suppose a ceiling fan would be nice but I don't really see the need for it when the AC unit works like a champ.

Leaving kids at home...pros and cons

Even though we've only got one child, I couldn't imagine splitting them up if we had more than one. Beyond that, I couldn't really imagine taking a trip at all without our daughter. My wife's family used to do that and they way she described it it sounded miserable despite her best efforts to...

    Which Deluxe Reort?

I love the Contemporary for the proximity to the MK -- we walked to and from each day and it was really convenient. It's a bit dated on the outside but really impressive on the inside (in my opinion) so I wouldn't say it's the best for theming, but that was less important to our family. That...

Adventure #9: Firsts, a Dream, an Anniversary, & Three Destinations...

Glad this got bumped because I've been away for a while since the holidays and missed it. Great report!

Harry Potter - OK, Gonna say it....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6-2NTriOL4 check out 4:38. I'm going under the assumption that you were actually in all of the movies so you'll probably want to address Emma Watson's mis-speak. However, on the off-chance that you're not one of the principal actors I think I'll take the word of...

Harry Potter - OK, Gonna say it....

I've heard this from others and, while I agree that the movie is quite different than the book and I'm not sure why they bothered with most of the changes, it didn't ruin it for me. On the contrary, it was the third movie that made me really want to continue watching the series. Although...

Harry Potter - OK, Gonna say it....

Good recovery...but still: two movie tickets, two DVDs, two premiers, two rounds of Letterman interviews, two IMDB entries....two movies. And due to our current lack of time travelling abilities, when I got all seven movies, the eighth wasn't out yet for me to also pick up and watch as one long...

Harry Potter - OK, Gonna say it....

Agreed. I got the first 7 movies (eighth wasn't out yet) because I figured I was missing out on some important part of the human experience but they sat in our library, unwatched for months. Eventually, people whom I trust about movies said they're worth a look despite my protests of "but I'm...

    Disney Twighlight

Totally agree. I used to make fun of the Harry Potter series until I got all the movies and my wife and I decided to run through them -- mostly because we'd seen everything else in our collection and just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out they're pretty bad-______ and we...

Sweet! Glad I got mine in early.

    Disney Twighlight

I haven't seen the movies so I'll admit I'm going completely on the advice of people whom I trust when they tell me to steer clear of them. For all I know they're all Oscar worthy and my friends are simply ignorant. That being said, is this accurate? If so you've got to admit it's pretty...

Trip Report *Food Update* The Get Out of My Way, Watch Your Child, Turn Your Flash Off & SHUT UP Trip Report!!!

While I agree with everything you included in your wrap up, I had to throw my 2 cents on this one in particular. We have made a point of teaching our 4 year old daughter manners from the first moment we figured she could understand what we were saying to her. I can remember two specific times...

    Disney Twighlight

Absolutely! Can't you imagine a ride themed around the importance of having a boyfriend? E-ticket for sure.

Sticking with the name your grew up with?

EPCOT Center for sure, I feel like I grew up in that park so the new "Epcot" just looks goofy to me.

What would you do with Ellen?

I actually like Ellen most of the time but IMO she and Bill Nye ruin this ride. It used to be one of my favorites 20 years ago but it was easily the most irritating part of my trip last year -- check that: 2nd most irritating after Stitch. I'd love to see them go back to the simpler version of...

Best iPhone app for waiting times/fastpass time?

Another vote for Lines here -- while the Crowd Calendar didn't seem very accurate the wait times feature was awesome and extremely helpful.

"The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" Question

We used the touring plans to a degree but it was really the Lines app that helped us out, particularly when our three year old necessitated unexpected changes in our touring plans.

Been There Done That NOT Going Back

The only thing from our last trip that I'd scratch off the list for next trip was Universe of Energy. That was one of my favorites as a kid but the new version with Ellen's dream is just irritating.

Trip Report *Food Update* The Get Out of My Way, Watch Your Child, Turn Your Flash Off & SHUT UP Trip Report!!!

Dude, your TRs always give me a chuckle...love the pics of weirdos, that's the type of stuff my wife and I always joke about but unfortunately I rarely have the stones to whip out a camera and snap a shot of them. Anyway, for serious photos this one is my favorite so far -- awesome colors!
