    Your most relaxing moment

Laying on the hammock with my wife at the Polynesian! It's about the only relaxing thing we do while in WDW but we love it. It's also nice to hear all of the sounds in the background- children playing, boat horns, and the faint sound of the Magic Kingdom!

    Italian Restaurant in World Showcase

Yes, per post #17- Alfredo's gets very two different types of reviews. Here is my advice: If you live in the northeast or another area/environment where you can get great Italian food on a regular basis- Alfredo's is just so-so. If you are not used to Italian food other than a local Olive...

Extra magic hours: how do they know?

Yes- and I was there 2 Sundays ago and they were actually posting cast members at the entrance of the rides and turning folks away if they didn't have the bracelets . . . I would imagine you can still walk around the parks, but they seem to be enforcing the rides pretty tightly . . .

How are April & May at WDW, in terms of crowds and weather?

I would suggest finding the spring break schedules of Florida school districts - we mistakenly went during this time and it was the most crowded I had ever seen the parks.

    Anyone Running?- Marathon Questions

Folks, My wife and her sister will be running in the half marathon (the husbands will be cheering them on and just enoying the trip to Disney, we don't put ourselves through such torture :animwink: ). A few questions for anyone who may have done this in the past: 1. Our materials tell...

    polynesian beach

Anyone can use the beach or most other Poly amenities (restaurants, arcade, etc). I have stayed at the Polynesian and used the beach - used the hammocks, viewed the water pagant, etc. I have also stayed at other resorts, and walked/rode over to the Poly and done the same thing (there is...

Disney Vacation Club- Taking the Plunge

My wife and I have had this debate many times - we both love Disney and go almost every year, however, she is in finance :) If you buy, buy because you love Disney and want to own a stake in the magic. But if you do a real fiancial analysis, accouting for compund interest of the original...

    Electrical Water Pageant

Yes, something about the chessiness and outdatedness that makes it a not to miss attraction. We love watching it and getting a good laugh - and I guess it reminds me of how much I liked it when I was young.

    Epcot Restaurants

The food at the San Angel in Mexico is good, but the atmosphere is fantastic and worth the reservation by itself! Have fun!

Does anything beat the 1-2 punch of ToT & RnRC?

I'd say that Disneyland has it beat- Pirates and Haunted Mansion are in the same land and a slightly better 1-2 than ToT and ock N Rollercoaster.

    Restoring magic - Disney

The book Disney War sure didn't make Iger sound like a great successor - he kind of seemed weak and not full of too much creative substance, but so far, I like what he has done. He may not be perfect, but has been a nice change so far . . .

NFL superagent saves boy at Grand Floridian

The news here in DC had a good line - the news piece was entitled: SAVED BY A SHARK!

NFL superagent saves boy at Grand Floridian

If you actually know the guy, advise him not to show his face in Philly . . .

NFL superagent saves boy at Grand Floridian

Haha - so true- despite this good deed, the guy is still evil incarnate. He is worse than any Disney villian for sure. Sports fans in my office think the staged it!

    Which resort for Christmas trip???

We have done the WL, Ploynesian and Grand Floridian over our December trips - while we enjoy them all - I have to agree with those above, the Wilderness Lodge looks great with the Christmas decorations! It's our favorite for the holidays!

    Fireworks/Illuminations Cruise?

Hey folks, Has anyone done either the MK Fireworks or Illuminations cruise? I'm headed down with my family and thought it would be a nice thing to do, but wanted to make sure that it was worth the cost. Your thoughts? Thanks!

    Artist Point?

It's probably the favorite WDW restaurant of my wife and I. Great wine, and very unique food. We go out to eat at a lot of the nicer places here in Washington, DC- and we feel that Artist Point (along with CA Grill and Jiko) can stand up with the best of them. Enjoy!
