Good Morning Everyone. It's great that Disney allows three options of hotel resorts,eg,Value,Moderate,Deluxe.Which gives us adults a choice of how much we want to spend on a WDW vacation. But my question is which resort in each category do you think gives the best value for your bucks.?Now weve only stayed in mods but the Caribbean beach is more expensive than Port Orleans and iam not sure why this is?maybe due to renovations at Caribbean.Iam interested to here from Value resort holiday guests and Deluxe holiday guests.

while I love POFQ I have found that all I need is a place to sleep so I now stay at the value resorts. Of those I like POP the best. I also saw on one of these threads that POP is a little cheaper due to it being located in a different county (or township) that has a cheaper tax rate. However, I do not know if this is true.

I think Wilderness Lodge is the best Value. Priced in between a moderate and deluxe, yet arguably, the most beautiful and well themed resort on property. Some complain about room size, but I have no problem with them. Not entirely true - I do wish they had a sofa. A great location and wonderful food adds to the appeal.

The only reason Caribbean Beach would be more expensive than Port Orleans is if you're getting a preferred room or a Pirates themed room. On the other hand, a Port Orleans room based on view and/or if it's one of the Royal Rooms will be more expensive than CBR. Otherwise, but resorts standard rooms are the same price.

Yeah, it's 11.5% as opposed to 12.5% I believe. A bit cheaper, but not a huge difference.

I have to say I think the best option for the values is All Star's. We prefer Sports. As far as the deluxe goes, I would have to go with WL and AKL.

For us, the best value for our money is either with Pop Century or AKL/WL, depends on the type of trip we are taking. We don't find the moderates to give us the right value for our money.

My family's farvorite resort is PO. It doesn't matter which side. Last year, it was the third time we've stayed at POP. The two years prior to that we stayed at ASMu. There was something about POP that didn't feel quite right. We did not feel at "home" there like we do at PO. POP was at full occupancy. I know with the opening of the AoA resort, POP has increased the room rate. The All Star resorts are a few dollars cheaper. POP has three pools to use at the moment. I don't know if one would be allowed to use the pools at AoA. At the AS resorts you have six pools to choose from. As you can go to the pools at the three resorts. Each AS resort has two pools. Also, at AS you can eat at any of the three dining halls. Each AS resort has a slightly different menu. The crowd at ASMu seemed to be older. By older I mean senior citizens or fewer families with children. I would suspect those families prefer ASSp or ASMo. As for busing POP versus AS, I don't see much difference. Last year, POP's buses were slammed with long lines of people waiting. At AS you may or may not have multiple stops/share buses. That's not a big deal to me, as you have to share buses or multiple stops at Deluxe resorts, too.

We've not stayed at any of the All Stars, but based on rewiews we have no desire to. Pop is the way to go for value. We've stayed there twice. POFQ is the other that we REALLY enjoyed. Carribean Beach to us was nothing special. Nothing wrong but nothing special.

we've stayed at value (music, movies), mod (por, pofq, cbr, csr), deluxe (poly, gf, cr, wl, bwi), and dvc resorts (ssrth). the only true negative i have regarding using one of the value resorts is i hate that the bus only stops at the front of the resort. sometimes it can be quite a hike just to get there depending on where your room is. we watch for discounts like when they have 35% off or we have a pin code and book at which ever onsite resort is covered. which category we pick depends on whose going and group size. if it's just my husband and i we'll splurge for a deluxe, my sister and i like pofq for it's size, when we went with a group of 7 adults and 1 child we did thv at ssr. but we're florida residents and go often so sometimes what we call a down and back with a one night stay whichever resort we can get cheapest so we have emh is the one we pick.

Value: Pop. More well-planned than the All-Stars.
Moderate: POFQ. Quaint, small, newly decorated.
Deluxe: Animal Kingdom Lodge. "African" savanna outside your balcony!
