Your Character Tie-Ins

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking about how "most" of the WDW attractions have movie tie-ins and not their own original story. This is a list of some of the standalone attractions.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Space Mountain
Jungle Cruise
Tomorrowland Speedway
The PeopleMover
Soarin’
Maelstrom
Test Track
Spaceship Earth
Living with the Land
The Tower of Terror
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Expedition Everest
Kali River Rapids
Kilimanjaro Safaris

My Question is: If you had to, which characters would you tie into these attractions so that the theme of the ride stays the same? (For example, adding Lion King into the Jungle Cruise)

Also, can this thread please not turn into "Should or shouldn't TDO build more character rides, or which one is better, I just want to know what people think they could do to plus these attractions (Not to say that all of the listed rides need pulsing, I actually enjoy almost all of them how they are now)

Just saying, but PotC and HM were original. The movies were inspired by the rides.

And I just noticed Dinosaur has a movie tie-in already. The movie would be Dinosaur. :p

**End nitpicking**

To answer your question, I'd do Cars for the Speedway. Why? Because it's the one ride of the ones listed that I don't ever go on. Therefore it wouldn't bother me as much if it had a movie tie-in.

I would do wreck it ralph speedway, Maelstrom change it to a frozen dark ride and big thunder would get a lone ranger re theme. A clarification for the op's sake there shouldn't be any "why would you do that", "or I think all the attractions should stay the same movie tie ins are dumb" comments thats not the point of the post which is to just have fun.

Re-theme RR to the Disney movie "The Black Hole", complete with being sucked into the Black Hole, add some creepy robots, a theme shop with a bunch of Vincent toys, and there you go. I know you asked for a character, but that's all I got right now.

I'm with you how hard would it be to make the cars look like the characters from the movies?

Anyway, I really wouldn't re-theme any of them but I would be open to a re-theme of the Speedway. Cars, Tron or even Sugar Rush from Wreck It Ralph. There's potential there in any of them.

WHY? I find that an attraction with originality is way more memorable than a abridged version of a film as a dark ride..So my answer is No originality is better and much more unique to the park.

WRONG!

Attractions with tie-ins ARE memorable too! Plus, tie-in attractions are original too!

Just because attractions may have tie-ins does not make them anymore un-original! Besides, people want tie-in attractions, so I say bring 'em on!

Plus, you also ignored the OP's request! Naughty, naughty!

It's bad enough that people like you give in to the Nazi-like mentality started by morons like Al Lutz!
