I always enjoy reading others' great ideas about saving up for WDW/Orlando holidays...so when I came across this challenge in a magazine, I thought I'd share it. We have to buy a car this year (yikes!) so saving for non-necessities will be a bit of a test. 
Hopefully I can stick with it - and that it may inspire a few others, as well! Sorry if this is old news - but I couldn't find it on the forum already (though heaven knows I'm no Sherlock).
The Pay Packet Challenge:
Today (Friday, 2 January): Put aside £1 (all you left-side of the Atlantic-ers $1)
Next week (Friday, 9 January): Put aside £2
Then (Friday, 16 January): Put aside £3
...and then add £1 more per week throughout the year. The idea is that you ease into it in January...and by year's end you will have almost £1,400 saved up!
Has anybody tried this challenge, or have another good one to start at New Year?
