You, ME and ABC

Screamscape has details about the replacement attraction inside the ABC theater. This goes along with WDWMAGIC's post this morning...

From Screamscape.com
If the rumors are true the closed ABC Theater who last housed Doug Live, is preparing to open something called You, Me and ABC that may be similar to the Superstar TV, the theater’s original attraction. This new version may feature mainly all of the new shows on ABC this fall and could just be a temp attraction as a few of the new shows are inevitably canceled after airing for only a few weeks. (That’s showbiz folks). Despite the possibility of this being a temporary attraction, this is a good idea for Disney to create some good tie-ins and give audiences a sneak peep at new fall programming. We’ve been informed of a soft opening performance on June 29th and the full opening to follow the next day. Stay tuned for more info!

Considering that most of the stuff ABC is throwing at the wall won't stick this fall, I suggest they go back to Superstar Television.

I can confirm this...

parts of it anyways.

What I can confirm is that a new show will be premiering this summer at MGM, in the ABC soundstage hopefully.

I highly doubt the date from Screamscape, since the auditions aren't for almost another week, and I highly doubt that a show can go from casting process to full production in less than a month.

I foresee maybe mid July

June 29th? That's early. I wonder why we (or atleast I) hadn't heard anything about it sooner. . .

Thanks for the info though. At least something will be there other than an "on hiatus" sign.:)

If they do have the attraction similar to the original Superstar TV, then it shouldn't be too hard to replace some of the sets of any of the failed new ABC shows with those of some of the classics. Like I said in a similar post, classic shows will never become dated, so I think this would be a better idea for them.

I Can't Wait

That area of MGM really needs some improvements.

When I was younger, my whole family was in Superstar TV. My parents were in the Soap Oprea Scene, my brothers were at cheers and I was the kid that hit the home run.

I never did see Doug Live and Sounds Danagerous with Drew Carrrey was boring and stupid (in my opionon)

I can't wait to see it!!
