Yellow magic express tags & crowds

Our trip is in 24 days, and we've received our magic bands. Should we have gotten yellow magic express tags at the same time for our luggage? We definitely need our checked luggage to get handled for us for this trip and it will be the first time we use this service.

Also, we are going the week after Labor Day, and I'm getting pretty happy over the reports of really low crowds. Is it as good as some are saying in terms of low crowd levels now? We chose the week immediately following Labor Day on hopes it would be the lowest crowds of the year.

Early September is some of the lowest crowd levels you can have. Would love to go early September, I feel the kids school would frown upon missing the first week lol (We go back the day after Labor Day here in Michigan)

OP,, when we got our magic bands last year, we couldn't find the express yellow tickets, either.
I searched and opened the bottom of the box they came in, and there they were. No notice to look under the magic band packaging.
I hope you haven't throw your box away, and you might want to check!

Is it possible that you're mistaken? Could you be confusing the Magical express luggage tags with the ID luggage tags that are included with the MagicBands when you book a package (room plus tickets)? The yellow Magical Express tags come in a separate envelope along with an instruction letter that also confirms your flight information. The envelope of ME tags and the box with the MBs don't even ship from the same address.
OP- did you include your flight information when you reserved Magical Express service? If you did not have your flight information at that time and you left it blank they will wait until the last minute to mail your tags. If you add the information the tags will be mailed earlier, but if that info is missing they will wait, hoping you call to add it, until it's almost time for your trip. They will eventually just send them leaving that area of the included letter blank but it's best if you call and add the flight information.

As for September crowds- we went last year right after Labor Day. We thought the crowds were pretty heavy. There were fewer school aged children than over the summer, but there were plenty of adults and preschoolers.

Thanks everyone, funny enough my ME tags arrived today (though not enough of them so they need to send more). We specifically picked this week because we figured nobody would have their kids miss school this early on. Our 4 year old is in preschool, so she'll miss the first week, but oh well. We are hoping for some really low crowds!
