Yakitori House Question

Would anyone here happen to have any information about the Yakitori House? There's a plaque outside the restaurant explaining that it's based off of a real tea house, and that the architect worked without any budget or time restrictions. However, I don't recall the details.

The reason I ask is that mention of a tea house like this came up in a reading for a class (the book Wabi-Sabi). I was just curious if this tea house and the Yakitori tea house are one in the same.

They are most likely not one in the same. Tea houses are a common part of Japanese architecture and culture - and are often incorporated in most intricate landscaping projects. I know there's a similar Tea House that was built at the Botanical Gardens in Santa Barbara.
