Eating at Yak & Yeti for the first time this year and can't wait menu looks fantastic! Rainforest I have been to once and don't see any return in the near future, terrible!!

Keep it and ask for a table upstairs next to the window. You should be able to catch the 3:45 parade from that view. I was not thrilled with the food from Yak and Yeti but it was not any worse than RFC and it has been a couple of years since I have dined there so things might have improved.

Same here. I was not impressed, on a par with Rain Forest, but there are far better options out there.

I agree. My least favorite DS is Yak and Yeti. Food just ok and little to see. Almost felt like I was off Disney property:oops: If you have children the Rainforest is fun. If not certainly look else where.

I am sure you will be happy with your move, I just wanted to defend Yak & Yeti. My family of 9 ate there and I don't think anyone had a bad meal-some are picky eaters. I had the steak and the won tons for dessert. The won tons are to die for. Plus the atmosphere is really cool.
With restaurants you will always find just as many people tell you it sucks as tell it is great. I would recommend looking at the menus on various sites and judging what your family likes to eat. Also, the Disney dining app if you have an iphone is excellent. Also, you can put all your reservation information on it.
Plus, I wasn't impressed with Boma.

We ate at Yak & Yeti for the first time last year and we all loved it:). Everybody enjoyed their food and we had a fantastic server who really made this meal one of the highlights of our trip. We are heading back to Yak & Yeti again this August, can' t wait!

We've had lunch @ Yak & Yeti twice and enjoyed it both times. Good food, great service and a neat theme. That being said, you will not be disappointed with Boma. It's an amazing buffet so my only advice is that you pace yourself. That way you can enjoy as much of the food as possible.

Boma is great, I can't wait to go back there in October. My wife and I both really enjoyed Yak and Yeti. We would eat there again on our upcoming trip if we could fit it it. We will however never eat at the rainforest cafe again. We have one that's only an hour drive from where we live that is awesome with great food and excellent service. However we found both the food and the service to be severely lacking at the one at animal kingdom.

Hope you enjoy Boma! It is my family's favorite WDW restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Love the selection of soups, hummus and desserts! Be brave and try everything...well, maybe not EVERTHING. ;)
