TERRELL OWENS IS AN EAGLE!!!

031504-OWENS-HP.jpg

This is one of the greatest days in Philly sports history!!! It's T.O Tuesday! After 3 straight losses in the NFC title game, it seemed as though all hope was lost. What was left to believe in anymore. Then the Eagles stepped up and signed the two biggest names out in the market, Jevon Kearse and Terrell Owens! It's pure pandemonium in Philadelphia today! The Flyers are hot, St. Joe's is no. 1 in the NCAA tourney, the Phillies are in spring training, Allen Iverson is throwing a tantrum... NONE OF THAT MATTERS!!! It's March and it's FOOTBALL SEASON!!! I can't wait till August, we need football NOW! People are weeping with joy, singing songs. What a feeling! McNabb, Owens, Westbrook, Smith, Kearse, Dawkins... we are jacked!!!

E-A-G-L-E-S.... EAGLES!!!

:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Well I wouldn't say I was at the "weeping with joy, singing songs" stage yet, but I have gone from the "crap, what's the point?" stage to the "this could be fun" stage.:sohappy:

And NO jockstrap promises this year!:p

Good for T.O.. Bad for the NFL. Let's see if this will work. . . Dear IRS, I meant to sign up for an extention, but my wife forgot about the deadline date. Can I please go to Philly as a free agent and screw San Fran and Baltimore? (Of course, I do like that Baltimore go it).

And I thought UK was the Number 1, 1 seed in the tourney and St. Joe was the number 4, 1 seed?!?!?!?!

Oh well, good luck to the Eagles. The Bengals hope to sign Taylor this week.

Actually, there was a clause in TO's contract giving him a deadline that was not impacted by the NFL date change. So legally, Owen was a free agent. The Player's union presented such a strong case for Owens that the arbitrator told the NFL to basically make a deal as a plea bargain cause if they didn't, they'd lose the case. The Eagles could have waited for the decision, which would have been in their favor, but they feared the NFL would appeal and lengthen the process so they agreed to the deal. The Raven gave Owens back to the 49ers in exchange for the 2nd round draft pick they gave up for him. The 49ers traded Owens to the Eagles for a 5th round draft pick and DE Brandon Whiting. The 49ers kept Whiting and gave the 5th round pick to the Ravens as compensation for giving Owens back. All is good, everyone is happy... especially TO and the Eagles!!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

St. Joe's is the no. 1 seed in the East region.

Man, Good Info. Way to back up your position. I stand corrected and ask forgiveness for the way Xavier treated St. Joes in the A-10 Tourney.:animwink:

Get one of these and we'll talk. Otherwise, it's the same song, second verse. The Eagles have to prove they can get over the January hump. Until then......

Ummmmm It doesnt compare with May 19, 1974 or October 1980. Not even close.
I know about October 1980 with the Phillies, but May 19, 1974? Flyers?
