Ok..I'am putting my request on this thread..Now that the 28oz Porter has left the building:cry:..On my trusty " My Disney Experience app." .I noticed that there's a 14 oz Prime Rib and also a 17 oz Bone-In Rib Eye..This is where all the vegans follow the Porter and leave the building..:joyfull:..So to all you steak lovers out there..This question is in three parts..1...Which of those steaks would you order.?..2..What would your preference be ( rare/med/well done. ) And finally 3..Why do you prefer that one from the other.?:hungry:.

I had the 8 oz. Filet, medium, and hubby "thinks" he had the 12 oz. New York Strip, which would have been medium as well. You see, he can't remember because when enjoying a beautiful steak specimen he goes into a strange trance.....soon to be followed by the "meat sweats"

Normally, I'd go with a strip because a sirloin isn't satisfying enough and a full pound steak might be too much even for me. The strip is the middle so to speak! Anyway, between the prime rib or ribeye, I'd be happy with either one but whatever's cheaper, I'll go with. I've been told that both cuts of meat are relatively the same but the prime rib takes longer to cook and is often cooked in the oven as opposed to a grill for the ribeye steaks. As for temp, it's medium and that holds true for any steak no matter what steak I eat! I'm not a fan of well done steaks. They're too tough for my teeth and rare, well, I'm not too crazy about that. Medium is the middle ground for me!

I'm conflicted. A ribeye is my usual order, med-rare. I have a hard time passing up Prime Rib. Most places that advertise it serve USDA Choice, so you really aren't getting Prime Rib. Knowing they have prime beef, I'll probably get the Prime Rib (med-rare) and hope they do a good horseradish sauce.

I will let you know in November LOL In the rare instances I eat steak, I always go with the filet mignon, medium. My son is a New York strip kinda guy, medium as well. Ron, will take either, but won't eat meat with a bone. (won't eat chicken with bone in either)
