Xmas parade on T.V.

I don't know if it's live or not...but it's called Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade and tickets cost around 30 dollars. We went last year for that but we didn't watch the parade we just rode the rides that we're open. We didn't even have to get off the train at BTM!! :sohappy:

The parade is not live...it is taped at the beginning of December. This year they taped on Saturday December 7. No special ticket is necessary...you just go to the Magic Kingdom as you usually would.
(The person above mentioned $30 tickets...that's for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party (and I think they were actually like $36). The party takes place on selected nights throughout December. That is the ONLY way to see the parade except for the day they do the taping for the christmas broadcast and the week just before christmas when they show the christmas parade during the day.)
They have all sorts of areas roped off (the areas roped off change all day based on what they are taping at that time) and they tape throughout the day. In the morning they were taping the opening and closing numbers, as well as some of Regis and Kelly's commentary. In the afternoon, they taped the parade. MK was a madhouse that day and people were staking out parade spots early (like at 10 am for the parade at 3 pm), so if you really want to see them taping the parade, you'll need to spend a good part of the day waiting.

What I am curious about is did anyone out there get to see Hilary Duff (our loveable "Lizzie") at the parade?
It's corny as heck, but I'm hooked on that show lately!:animwink:
I would've given anything to hear her live singing "Santa Clause Lane"- for some reason I really dig that song- I guess I'm a cornball like that, but hey, it's a good song!

I would've loved to be there live for the parade (the weather looked fantastic- Disney must've worked some real magic to pull that off

Orangefan15 is correct. We were at the Kingdom and we were left a message at the Polynesian to come view the parade on the morning of the 7th for the TV show. We couldn't go because of breakfast plans but we tried to go to MK that morning afterwards and it was CRAZY!!! It was so crowded we got right back on the monorail and left!@!!!!

Hey!
Yah it is taped a couple days a head of time. Like on the 22nd or 20th of december. But, still it is so awsome though. And kelly ripa is hott. lol
