The Wyndham.. welp, we usually stay at the All Star, but it was fully booked for New Years.. the Wyndham is usually $200 per night, but we booked for $119 through the Disney Club line...
GREAT we thought.. luxurious and whatnot... ummm, maybe on the outside... the lobby is nice, but unless your planning on spending some bux on the restaurant & fancy bars, save your pennies.
The rooms are no biggie.. sub-par to the All Star, maybe not in size, but general cleanliness. Hell, they even skipped one night of room service, even w/ the "Housekeeping Please" sign on the door. Sure it's nice and pretty to have "internet service (10.99 for 24 hours)", "playstation ONE (6.99 for one hour of play)" and 11.99 pay per view movies... (uhhh) but who really cares? And the 3.50 bottles of water in the room are funny...
The worst part was the transportation, granted, we knew it wasn't gonna be great going in, but it sucks to not be on Disney property running w/ Disney Transport. We usually jumped to the Marketplace and double bus'd to where we needed to go. The Downtown Disney resort buses take forever to arrive at the parks to pick you up.. all in all made it a hassle to get to a park..
My final thoughts? Stay at a Disney resort if you're gonna pay more than $100 to stay at a hotel near Disney.. there's enough deals out there to make it worthwhile
