I'm hoping to go to US/IOA in May/june. How's the excitement and crowds at WWHOP going? Has it tapered down yet from all of the fans getting out there? Is it still a 2hr wait for everything? Has the harness thing with FJ gotten better? I'm not skinny but have never needed to use the bigger harnesses on other coasters but the word around this one has me nervous.

The crowds are big right now due to the time of year, but the waits have died down...still pretty busy though. New restraints/seats have been added for larger riders, so I'm pretty sure you won't have to worry about that.

I went at the beginning of December and the FJ wait was just 30 minutes at about 10 or 11 in the morning...or at least it was SUPPOSED to be 30 minutes but ended up turning into an hour and 30 because it kept breaking down :brick: But it was still worth it, and i've never even read the books or watched the movies. The wand shop seemed to have quite a wait though, but I didn't bother with that.

Everything else at Universal was a walk-on.

Does everyone think the initial crush of people is over now? I am sure there will still be crowds for FJ but the craziness that occurred when WWOP first opened seems to have slowed. I am going the start of August and would like to go for one day. Any recommendations on if it is better early or later in the day?

August is tricky because many schools start back late August.

I don't think you have too much to worry about either way. If you mean park hitting capacity I don't think that type of insanity is likely as the summer is more spread out than the winter break is, but there will likely be a wait to get into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Island at the peak of the day, if so not as much as what has been recently seen.

I would say get to the park early right at 8am since that is usually when it opens. If you are staying onsite than you will likely get the deal they are still doing last I checked where onsite hotel guests get in an hour early, if that deal is not going on and you are not staying onsite no sweat. I would just get to the park early as you can near opening and head right for the Wizarding World.

If you can get in at 8 but not with the onsite people use that hour to your advantage. Last time I went at 8am I rode Spiderman and Hulk with no waits.
