I just got wrestler Diamond Dallas Page's occasional newletter. It looks like him and Macho Man Randy Savage may do some Disney work.

Yo, Cutters.

It’s me…it’s D...D...P.

What’s Up?

For starters, Happy Holidays to everyone. I hope you had a great Christmas, Chanukah,, or Kwanzaa. If I am leaving anyone out, I hope you had a happy whatever. The end of the year finished strong for me. I ended up getting the Disney pilot for Extreme Fairy Tales, which we have already shot and is in the can. Now, I’ll play the waiting game to see if it gets picked up. Being picked up, means it is bought as a series and we make 13 episodes for the season. This is a Disney animated series about a character called Manbeast Joe Crusher who gets trapped in fairy tale land. Instead of being ed off about, he’s like me and tries to turn a negative into a positive. Instead of reading fairy tales to the woodland creatures, he changes them up just a bit to make them extreme fairy tales. (What else would he do?) This is definitely set for kids, but I think adults will find some of it humorous, too. By the way, I am the voice of Joe Crusher. One of the other cool things about this cartoon is that one of the grandmother’s voices is the woman who did the voice of Rocky in the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon.

Other voiceover work I am waiting on is a part in the direct to video release of Tarzan 2, the animated Disney movie. It’s down to me and Randy Savage for the part of Kago. Kago’s brother, Uto, has already been cast as Brad Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond. Their gorilla mother is played by “GGEEEOOOOORRRGGGGEEEE!!” Costanza’s mother from Seinfeld. It’s down to me and Randy, and from what I understand it’s not apples to apples, but an apples to oranges comparison. In other words, they like both of us, and it is just up to the Powers That Be to decide. As I hear it, there were over 100 other candidates before they narrowed it down to me and Randy.

Over the early part of the holidays, Kim and I went out Christmas shopping and ran into Rob Zombie. He was buying a tree at the same time we were. Reminds me a lot of wrestling, some of the wilder characters are grounded and down to earth, and so is Rob. I also went to see “Friday After Friday” (funny movie!) with my buddy Terry Crews who plays the part of Damon. You might remember Terry from the show Battledome where he played one badass brother named T-Money. We’ve been friends since WCW did that B.S. crossover which really didn’t make any sense at all. At least, we became good friends out of that. When I found out his movie was coming out, I called him up and told him I wanted to see him in that flick, so we went. Man, he was funny.

Presently, I am doing the east coast Christmas vacation family tour. Left L.A. to get a white Christmas with my family in Jersey and right now, Kimberly and I are headed to the Sunshine State to see her family. On the 29th, we’ll be headed back to L.A. to celebrate Kimberly’s New Years Eve birthday party. We’re both excited about our return to L.A. since we have moved to a bigger and much hipper place, and we’ve got a lot of good pans in the fire. Hope things are heating up for you this year. Have a happy and safe New Year.

It’s been your pleasure…
