Wow I think I lost my trip report

I was trying to start a trip report and was at the end of day 1 just about and clicked something on the side with the mouse and it took me to the beginning of the Trip reports forum... and I had never hit post yet so does that mean mine is totally lost?????

Yes sorry to say it is lost. If you are ever typing anything that is lengthy, I would always recommend typing it into a word processor or something similar, and then copying it into the web browser to post it.
