Would you LIVE at DLR?

I started a similar thread over at the WDW discussion board and thought it might be fun to do it here too. The question is: Would you live, for the rest of your life, at DLR if given the chance? Before you answer, here are the rules:

-You can go ANYWHERE on DLR property, but you can never leave....ever....for the rest of your life.

-You have free reign of the parks, etc, open or closed.

-Your family can visit you as often as they wish, but they cannot live there with you.

-Everything (meals, etc) will be free to you.

So....would you do it?

Well does that mean my friends could live with me then? Cuz if so... NO. I'd never do it. There's not enough to do to keep oneself entertained for an entire lifetime at the DLR.

Maybe if you could leave for short outings, or maybe a vacation every once in a while, but I know I could never be restricted to live in only a few square blocks' worth of space for the rest of my life.

No way...I like living elsewhere and visiting the Resort. After year 3 of going there every day, the Indiana Jones Adventure would finally start to get old, and it would be a travesty for that to happen! :)

No. I would wantt ot be able to leave to go to WDW and to do other things. I especially would want to live with my family. I don't think my daughter would be happy about me living there and she couldn't and my wife definately wouldn't like the idea. It is wonderful to visit and to live there for a short period wouldbe ok too, but for a lifetime - no!

very interesting question Merlin.

I would have to side with the No's. There is just too much of the world to see/do/experience.

nope... DLR is a place to visit, not a place for me to live. It's like a movie to me, as opposed to WDW which is an alternate reality. The smaller scale of DL makes it seem to me like a movie set as opposed to an alternate reality.

HMMM.......

Do you get cotrol over what rides are Imagineered? Do you decide how magical Disney can be ? With no limitations?

After careful thought.............No I dont think i would. Control of it would not make it a unique experience.

I would have no vision or Dreams come reality because its all in the palm of my hand or as Ursula put it '"You pitiful insignificant fools......now I am the ruler of all the oceans. the waves obey my every whim. The sea and all its toils bow to my power!!!!! ghwahahahahahahahaha"

As a little girl I would've said yes, but now I want to see the world. Heck, I've never been to WDW.

My answer would be no. Disneyland is one of those places you just think, "Great place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there."
