I was wondering if any of you could take a look at some of the photos I have in my trip report, and give me some advice on how to improve my pictures. Some of the pictures are just for me to remember what to put in the trip report ( like food, ect.) but I have some shots that I tried pretty hard on. I have a link to my trip report in my signature.

I also have one shot in particular that I would like critiqued by some of you who are alot better at photography.

You might want to check out "The National Georgraphic Field Guide to Photography"... Its a nifty book for beginners who are wanting to make their photos better.

I like the tower shot with the mist. Underexpose that about a stop and it would probably look creepier....

That picture would look much better without flash (or with bounced flash or something). The shadows are too harsh and the flowers are overexposed. Also a wider aperture would blur out the distracting background a bit.

Hope that helps!

Wow... someone learned a thing or two....

And now - advanced techniques. Try panning. Stop your 70-300 down to F/22 and pan with your subject as it moves, like shooting teh parade at 1/30th of a second. The only thing sharp should be the one thing you follow.

Well, I wish I could give some pointers, but due to lack of a good camera and lack of ever having anything to ever take pictures of, I'm not really that good of a photographer. lol
