Hello everyone! Since it is summer, I am finally able to work on large projects again, and boy do I have a lot planned!
I am thinking of starting a blog about how I would reimagine Epcot, which will include updated future world pavilions and a new one: Weather, Air, and Energy. The pavilion would replace the Universe or Energy and would focus on all things involving the atmosphere and why it's important. I also wanted to keep the energy theme because many renewable sources of energy come from the sky such as wind, solar and even water(because of the water cycle). I think the best way to show people the benefits would be to show them these things in action by powering at least part of the pavilion by solar power.
I know it wouldn't be possible to power the whole thing with this since I did some research and I estimated that it would be similar to powering a mall. It is only practical to power about 30% of the building while using energy efficient lights and windows.
Do you think this would work? The hypothetical pavilion would be about the size of the land or Wonders of life. I'm looking to have some real discussion about this and ideas of what else could go here. I'm trying to do this project realistically as if Disney was really planning to do this and I want it to be right. Feel free to suggest ideas and discuss!
Here's the logo I made for the pavilion and the redesigned logos for some other pavilions:
New wonders of life logo:
New Space Pavilion logo:
I hope they are ok, I'm not a graphic artist so this isn't professional or anything, just a kid with a tablet! If you are wondering why I changed the Wonders of Life logo and the Mission Space logo is because I thought they looked very different from all of the others, so I tried to match the style!
